I have to say I this scum bag needs to spend a lot of time behind bars. He's lucky he didn't get to finish the act, now that we hear the maid migt have AIDS.

This is a warning to all people not just men that you can not run around with no moral compass and expect to come out in good shape.

If the law doesn't get you somethong else just might.

Some people think they are above the law, I have to say I am, pleased every time I see one of these people het brought down to earth.

Just like Arnold S. who has no class what ever getting it on with who? OMG she is not even of average good looks.

Sorry but facts are facts.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn resigns as head of IMF | World news | guardian.co.uk
Dominique Strauss-Kahn has resigned as managing director of the International Monetary Fund, saying he wanted to devote "all his energy" to battle the sexual assault charges he faces in New York.

The IMF's executive board released a letter from Strauss-Kahn dated 18 May, in which the former managing director denied the allegations against him and went on to say that it was with "infinite sadness" that he presented the board with his resignation.

"I think at this time first of my wife – whom I love more than anything – of my children, of my family, of my friends. I think also of my colleagues at the fund; together we have accomplished such great things over the last three years and more.

It seems the press and the party, even the mother of one victim have been protecting this pathetic predatory pervert. A thoroughly disgusting lot, especially the mother who told her daughter not to maim her dear socialist icon; that wench is an accomplice for all the barbaric behavior that went on afterwards. Her moral compass is equally ****ed.

I hope he spends a lot of time behind bars in US prisons. The French state should pay, and no letting this scum be sent back to France until he's done his time. He need be resocialized... spend some time with the common folk... and go through some insensitive sensitivity training.

Shouldn't we wait with condemnations until he was found guilty?

As it stands now, it's statement against statement, and while it's well possible he is guilty, it's also possible he is being wrongly accused.

perhaps but given the history of the man it seems relatively unlikely. certainly the conspiracy theory popularity is way off-base.

For the love of God, can people please stop comparing Schwarzenegger with Strauss-Kahn. One is a consensual affair, the other is CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT!

You also have to consider the man's past history of sexual assault accusations. It's not simply he said she said, the accusations fit this guy's M.O.

I'm all for the innocent until proven guilty standard in criminal court, but when I make up my own mind I use common sense.

I, at this moment, find it hard to believe that someone in such a gender-sensitive position (that's not a slight) could be a monster.

I'm withholding condemnation (of him, not the IMF/WB), but it looks bad for him.

Could you wait for a verdict in the face of physical evidence? I'm not sure I could CT pyhsical evidence away. Last I read, he claimed he was not there. Let's see how that holds up.

IMO, Dominique Strauss-Kahn made the appropriate decision to resign from his position at the helm of the IMF. He could have asked for a leave of absence, putting the currently divided IMF’s Board in a difficult position of accepting his request or seeking to remove him. With the global economy continuing to face a range of significant challenges (debt situation in parts of Europe, challenge of rebalancing in terms of current account imbalances, need for fiscal consolidation in certain advanced economies, including the U.S., etc.), the IMF would be in a far better position with the certainty a new Managing Director would provide.

From recent news accounts, it is clear that Strauss-Kahn will remain confined, even if his latest request for bail is approved this morning. He is in no position to play a meaningful role at the IMF, much less to run the organization under such circumstances.

At the same time, news accounts also suggest that an expedited legal proceeding is unlikely. Instead, the pace could be quite deliberate with a trial not commencing for perhaps another 6 months or more. That would mean, at a minimum, a prolonged absence from the IMF.

Finally, the allegations involved are grave. Publicity surrounding the case could further undermine the IMF from the distractions it would create, had he remained at the helm, even during a leave of absence.

Actually, he is still head of the IMF**.

No. It seems the evidence is pretty clear. He's a repetitive offender that has been given a get out of jail free card far too often. Arrogant, perverted ****. Perhaps he will get lucky and have a jury as brain dead as Nicole Simpson's, but it seems he's a barbarian disguised as a human.

My bet is I'd never be seated in the jury.

The cad is saying the sex was consentual. Yeah, that's why she ran out of the room naked and screaming. The European press has named the poor woman, and accused her of having AIDS.

This woman's life is ruined, no matter what the outcome of the trial. She is a devout Muslim, so I'm thinking she might be ostracized by her mosque as well.

yeah. because when i look at this guy, what i see is a towering inferno of raw male sexuality that no woman could resist.

Hey Dude,

Would you be willing to take a stand now?

Just curious when that time comes.

He's a Socialist, so guilty of sexual assault, or not, he's still a dirt bag.

The worst part, is that American taxpayers have to pay for his sweetheart severence package.
