Former Governor Gary Johnson has country's most famous pot smoker and marijuana advocate endorsing him as a presidential candidate.

Despite my bashing of Republicans, there are a few of them that I would vote for. And Gary Johnson is one of them. He understands that the War on Drugs is a total flop. And Willie Nelson's Teapot Party has now endorsed him. Works for me. The problem with Democrats is that they are even more supportive of the War on Drugs than anybody else, which is one of the reasons I have never voted for one. If you don't buy that, then just look at Obama's threats against the soverignty of the state of California. This war needs to end ASAP, so we can start going after REAL criminals. And there are a few good Republicans who will do just that.

Consider. Willie Nelson has smoked half the marijuana ever grown, and yet he's not in jail.

That's about all you need to know about the War on Drugs.

Governor Veto is the pick of the litter.
I'd consider voting for him, if he made it past the primary.

agreed
the only one who has a chance in the national election

what's more, he is a true fiscal conservative

He has no chance whatsoever.

He has no chance whatsoever.

an uphill battle, to be sure
but for me, he is the only potential candidate who would cause me not to cast a vote for Obama

he is a younger, more palatable Ron Paul. and the young adults trend toward Ron Paul, even when he was running against Obama. Obama has sorely disappointed the youth vote (as well as many of his other supporters)
this is a viable candidate
Gary Johnson 2012

but the republicans could be as stupid as the democrats were by anointing sure losers, john kerry, mike dukakis, walter mondale, george mcgovern and hubert humphrey

which republican stands a better chance than Gary Johnson in the national election?

I've never heard of him, is he a libertarian?

he rebuffed the Libertarian party's appeal for him to be its candidate in a previous election

but his stands take a definite libertarian lean

I had never heard of Willie when I was introduced to his music in 1973 but I liked it.

Then I actually met him in 1974 at a little thing called the Nacogdoches back Woods Beer Festival along with many other Country Music entertainers, and my response was he was funny clever and high as a kite, smoking a joint.

When he did a radio interview years later about being in the Clinton White House and going out on the Balcony to smoke a joint I lost all respect for him.

I know that a some of the Founding Fathers grew Pot but it was legal then, and that is different.

Any mainstream republican stands a better chance; there is a reason why the libertarian party never gets any votes.

Definitely a Johnson fan and would love to see him get the nomination.

what is that reason?

I don't think that's true, but if it is, that is awesome, and Willie Nelson just became a badass in my book. Getting high at the White House, what else could be more awesome

But anyways regarding this Johnson guy, I like his stance on the failed war on drugs, and I'll probably agree with most of his stances on social issues, unless he deviates from his libertarian stance on them. I would have to look at his economic policy's, and if he is a moderate, or atleast willing to compromise on things like welfare, healthcare etc, I would consider voting for him in the general election.

Yes, such respect for the oval office is so admirable. But then again, Clinton was screwing barely legal women there, and you guys worship him like a rock star.

White House=Awesome, Getting High=Awesome

Getting high+White House= Awesome Squared

Stoner math=Awesome

tell us how much older than legal do the women have to be before their sexual relations should be found ok?

For 50+ year old married presidents of the United States? Gee, let me think about it. What is the appropriate age of an intern to give you a blowjob in the oval office while your wife is sleeping down the hall?

Let me think on that and get back to you. Indeed, a perplexing question.

i look forward to seeing your answer

Because libertarians come off as "out there" candidates

i suspect that is why he is a republican with a decidedly libertarian lean

again, not unlike Ron Paul

That is what the establishment Republicans want you to believe. They are losing real Conservatives by the droves to the Libertarians, who represent what Conservative values used to be before the GOP hijacked Conservatism and attempted to redifine it in big government terms, in what can only be referred to as a betrayal of values. That dog don't hunt for those who never forgot their Conservative roots, and still walk the walk. This is what is now scaring the GOP the most, so they have to demonize the Libertarians. Scare tactics are all they have left.

Johnson agrees with my position on almost every issue. He therefore has no chance of getting the nomination, let alone the presidency.

I actually agree with most of his views - not all, but a lot of them.

So I KNOW he won't get the Republican nomination.
