Trump Declines to Run for President - FoxNews.com
Donald Trump announced Monday that he will not run for president, saying he remains confident he could win but that he does not want to leave the private sector.

The real estate mogul and reality TV star announced his decision in a written statement, on the same day he was set to meet with NBC executives to discuss the future of his show, "Celebrity Apprentice." Trump said he would not fade from the political spotlight, but cited his "passion" for business in his decision not to enter the 2012 Republican field. In trademark Trump fashion, he maintained he could have won the election.

First Huckabee stepped out, now Trump. Looks like the field is narrowing.

I am not surprised after the beating he got at the WHCD by the President and Seth Meyers. Plus, I never really considered him a serious contender anyways.

I wouldn't take the WHCD or the presentations made during it very seriously if I were considering a run for president.

I think he probably realized that he's not going to garner the votes needed, even if he'll say otherwise for the sake of his image. Probably concerned about tarnishing the "brand", whether that's a justified concern or not, considering his other day-to-day behaviors.

I am so disappointed. I was looking forward to all the hair jokes and for the pre-ordained Trump blow up on the campaign trail. :)

I saw something saying it was because NBC threatened to find someone else to do The Apprentice.

That is true, but his issue going in was the birther issue. The President realized it and then at the dinner Trump got railed about it. It was pretty obvious his time was done.

Go Herman Caine (sp) I am looking forward to using the 'racist' smear every time a liberal disagrees, just like they taught us the past two years.

Go Herman Cain, Go. You need to send donations to him, so he can win the nomination, j-mac. :)

I plan on it....I will enjoy seeing him wipe the floor with Obama.

I would love to see him get the chance, but I am afraid the Republican party won't give him the chance.

Trump was publicly humiliated. His brand name is suffering. He needs to distance himself from the past several weeks of very bad advice and decisions.

I think it was this night that really put things in perspective for the Donald. A ballroom full of people laughed at his ridiculousness.

Donald Trump is a buffoon. I thought he was obnoxious and didn't like him very much even BEFORE this stupid publicity stunt, but I really dislike him now.

This is hardly a shock. Never did think he was serious... and I'm seriously glad he wasn't. Trump, pffft! Bah humbug.

Yeah! He got his ass handed to him:2razz:

But the real reason is cause he does not wish to pony up his money records.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahah

This news saddens me. I was looking forward to volunteering on his campaign.

And let us move along now boys, nothing important to see here.
