Simple question - Were the McDonald's jobs included in the April report? No need to deflect here. Simple answer, yes or no. And I didn't pull Limbaugh out of context at all, and you know it. Those were his exact words. He said that 62,000 of the April jobs were McDonald's.

How do you know they weren't hired in April. According to the press release that was the target date.

You could also add that the aid to the auto industry saved more than 1.14 million jobs in 2009 alone.Better jobs than flippen burgers too. :2wave:

Now isn't that wonderful, how much will the U.S. Tazpayer lose on the GM/Chrylser deal? Guess you think the taxpayer should fund the takeover of GM/Chrysler and take a loss so that unions can keep their power?

Lets see ,on one hand we have "1.14 million jobs” making autos in the United States,(well mostly here)paying good wages and bennys and taxed accordingly.

On the other hand we have "50,000 jobs (mostly part-time with no bennys ) flippen big macs". Now lets head down the ole rabbit hole and ask the mad hatter which will most help pull us out of the great bush recession. :roll:

Just like a liberal who buys the rhetoric of another liberal. How do you know those jobs would have been lost? The winner here were the union thugs, not the workers who would have kept their jobs but with another company. Do you have a clue how our economy works and who creates the jobs?

Hey, those were jobs that were making automobiles in this country, they were having their lunch being eation by mostly offshore automobile manufactures. Even a truck driver that has had his brain rattled around the ole dome for millions of miles of bumpy roads can figure this one out.

The question we should be asking is why are you defending the mad hatter version of this equation?:2wave:

Aw, hell, the sky is falling, the sky is falling, we need the liberals to save us all by putting us all underneath the desk. Chicken Little!! Last time I checked foreign auto manufacturers have plants in this country that employs Americans. Why don't you tell us exactly how many people really are incapable of helping themselves and need the taxpayers to help them. Then why isn't that the state and local responsibility first?

Seems to me that even a truck driver, most that I know are conservative, can figure out what you cannot seem to figure out, liberalism is a failed ideology that needs victims to survive and supporters like you to keep fueling an effort to think only with your heart instead of your brain. The liberal elites are fighting hard to brainwash people like you in order to retain their power and you keep buying their rhetoric.

Read the Wall Street Journal article and find out. McDonald's announcement came one day AFTER the April survey was completed. Surveys are usually completed about the middle of each month, and don't include the last half, but includes the last half of the previous month. They call it April because the survey ended in April, but it actually began in March. But don't take my word for it. Read the Wall Street Journal article, which explicitly says that McDonald's made the announcement AFTER the survey for April was closed. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to therefore conclude that McDonald's was not included in the April survey, and the Wall Street Journal article confirms that. Duh!!

The April Announcement is made up of the Household and Establishment Survey and employers are contacted. Depends on what McDonalds told them but the reality is it doesn't matter, we have more unemployed today than we had when Obama took office and 2.6 million fewer employed. Does it really matter at this point whether that is 60,000 more or less with 2.6 MILLION less employed?

You are right, I bought the personal responsibility teaching of my parents and am a product of the free enterprise and capitalistic economy that made this country great. I made it and if I can do it so can millions and millions of Americans. You keep buying the rhetoric and are either part of the problem or simply too naive beyond words. How many Americans truly need help? Put a number on it and then we can address the problem. Afraid it isn't what you have been led to believe? Stop thinking only with your heart as God actually gave you a brain to use for that.

WE have a 14.3 trillion debt due mostly to social engineering on the part of the govt. Things like the Great Society and New Deal were created by people thinking with their hearts and all those programs have grown and grown over the years never solving a problem, any problem yet bureaucrats still keep appealing to your heart. There comes a time when one has to realize that liberalism has made a fool out of people. When will you come to that conclusion?
 
I'll be totally honest with you guys probably cuz I'm a little drunk. A big part of me wishes that the government never did anything, and let United States go into a horrible depression. Mostly because most of you are to big of liberal ******s to fight someone like me, and the other half of you are incredibly old and weak conservatives that would get their hip broke. I would win, and I would own a town. America.

I'm done. Things would be better if I held people at gun point when the depression happened and we bartered with booze and cattle instead of paper like in the old days.

Nobody ever made the claim that unemployment would level off immediately. The economy is way too big to turn on a dime like that.

I hope you notice that chart you posted shows that the unemployment rate was already up to 8% when Obama's stimulus package went into effect. Given that, I'm not sure I can say I understand how it was expected to keep unemployment under 8%.
