No, as far as I know there was no bounty paid, but last I remember it was 25 million dollar bounty on OBL's head.

We had a lengthy discussion of the proper term for people who now deny that the Seals actually killed Bin Laden as announced. There are the "birthers" who believe that Obama was born in Kenya, then the deniers why buy into the Great Conspiracy about global warming, the "truthers" who say Bush orchestrated the attacks of 9/11, now we need a new term. Several terms were proposed, but "deather" seems to be the most acceptable.

So, are you a deather?

Also, am I supposed to believe that :
- OBL used his wife as a human shield?
- Did NOT use his wife?
- Was shooting at the SEALs?
- DID NOT shoot at SEALS?
- Was shot on sight?
- Was captured and then shot??

So, let me know which version of the official story I'm supposed to ascribe to in order to not fall under your arbitrary and childish label?

That isn't appeasement, it is common sense. We've already seen soldiers killed after some idiot decided to burn the Kuran - maybe you don't care about our soldiers, but I do and while they are in the ME, I don't want unnecessary danger, that can be prevented, to come to them.

How about, Bin Laden really was not killed nine times before May 1, but he's dead now? Can you handle that one?

I didn't say that he was killed 9 times... I was pointing out the fact that since 2002 OBL has been reported as dead multiple times by sources that you would typically consider credible... MSM media mostly.

I'm sure the SEALs killed someone... but there's so much dishonesty going on here that I don't really understand how you can confidently say that THIS TIME was the time they were telling the truth???

Even Al-Qaeda has acknowledged his death. Deathers have stooped to new stupidity, that's for sure. I would say deathers were idiots, but that would be an insult to idiots everywhere.

From then on, Shawley told police he remembers nothing.

But the video shows Shawley allegedly beating a woman in the head with an aluminum pipe and then hurting the woman's 68-year-old mother when she tried to shield and defend her daughter.

The video then shows Shawley running across a pedestrian bridge before viciously hitting a passerby in the face with the pipe.

my parents generation watched war footage of vietnam, we play violent video games; i think we would all like to at least peak at Bin Ladens corpse. if not in a shiny set of jumpsuit with schackles and humilating trial, then a corpse would do. besides, if not for the security of our forces, why else hold information from the public? has it been decided we as a nation are not mature enough to handle this?

I questioned your insertion of this news item. I would certainly not tarnish the reputation of the SEALs, nor would i include a news item about one guy apparently going berserk, or mentioning he was a SEAL when the subject of honor was raised.

It is no more newsworthy on this thread that he was a SEAL any more than he was an American or a Democrat. He obviously has problems and this item has nothing to with the honor or integrity of the SEALs.

Yes, and that "confirmation" was released by a pentagon front called "SITE", that has a reputation for releasing fake tapes in the past...

So, who is more of the idiot, the person that understands when they are being lied to, or the person that buys into any and all lies upfront??

Similarly like one of those beheading videos that made the news that was actually a fabrication made by some kid in his garage and put on youtube or whatever.

On the other hand, releasing a photograph, maybe with a signed statement saying "we promise this is a real, non photo shopped picture of Bin Laden", then you'd be convinced.

Oh, how about that DNA confirmation?
