Bin Laden was unarmed when shot

I am happy he is dead, and wonder why it matters if he was armed or unarmed when killed. Did Osama bin Laden ask if the citizens and peoples he killed in Nairobi, Dar Es Salaam, Near Yemen, New York, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, Bali, or Mumbai were armed? Again I am happy the SOB is dead, and it makes me proud to be an American.

Sounds like bin Laden had converted to Mormon.

I hope those children have been placed in a program to undo brainwashing / radical thinking etc.

The WH has compounded this situation by releasing half-baked details, then retracting, then changing the story to suit the current opinions.

Obama should just come out say...."Yeah, UBL was executed".....and get this elaborate scheme over with

I don't give a damn if he was armed ot not. From what I have heard he had a choice and got what he dissevered, Gadaffi needs the same treatment. I would be happy to shoot the Bastard myself and expect no praise for it. He killed thousands and needs to die.

It was the Whitehouse that announced the first day that Osama had been unarmed. This is hardly breaking news. They also maintain he was "resisting"... which basically means he didn't throw his hands up in surrender. It's been rumored that he was reaching for something that was out of sight, but frankly we'll never know. I doubt this was ever a "capture" mission given the global circus it would have created. It was an assassination, and I'm surprising even myself when I say that I approve of it.

"Then he should've armed himself."

Bin Laden WAS a weapon. His BS inspired ignorant hate-filled wretches to go end their lives to kill innocent people. He was the weapon, and the only way to stop him was to kill him and discredit him.

In "The Unforgiven" ....Clint Eastwood's character gave some advice regarding killin'. He said that killing a man took away all of his hopes, dreams and future and it couldn't be taken back. Most people have a strong aversion to taking that final an action.

We will never really know how many future killings of innocents this incident prevented. Just the amount of information they may be able to gleam from the electronic trails may prove to be far more useful that Bin Laden's pathetic body.

Another funny thing is that almost every picture released of Bin Laden he has a weapon on him. Even sitting in a cave with all his supporters he has a rifle nearby. It is hard to believe that he didn't have a weapon in close proximity to him.

UBL is dead, is it over? Can we pack up our gear and all come home? Will the bad guys say, "OK, it's over. The infidels got Osama. We're toast- time to surrender or go home.??.

It is not over but hopefully this could set them back quite a few notches if intellingence can gleam enough information from the electronic trail.

Maybe it is time for our boys to come home. We don't have the money to be the world's policeman.

What about

OBL is gone, so our interest in staying has gone way down in A-stan. This could be just the excuse we need to get out and stop spending lives and money.
