What amazing news! I just woke up to read this news here and checked the BBC.

It wasn't just Americans who died on 9/11 but it was America who bore the brunt of the attack.

My thoughts are with all those who lost friends and family on that horrible day in the attacks on the twin towers, to all those who served in Afghanistan in the hunt for Bin Laden, to all those who lost family and friends serving in Afghanistan, to all those who were killed or wounded in terrorist attacks in their home countries because their country had sent troops to serve with the US in Afghanistan.

It's strange celebrating someone's death but the best part is that all the US troops who went in came out alive and that we now have his body as final proof.

Looks like he's online right now, and is going through and deleting alot of those tweets. I saw one (now gone) that said something along the lines of "great, now I'm the guy who tweeted about the Osama attack without even realizing it." I think he wants to avoid the attention he suddenly was in for.

Why would you even entertain anything coming from some two-bit blogger? Obviously no real pictures are available at this point. Also of interest is a man who is from the town where Osama was found, who tweeted many of the events yesterday as they were happening, at one point saying "Want to go to bed but Osama had to pick this day to die." Are you ready to claim that he was a government imbedded operative placed to help sell the original story?

I'm not convinced this is Bin Laden. For something as important as this, wouldn't you think they would have done a lot of video and still pictures to try to eliminate doubt ?
And why did they have to bury the body at sea (where you can no longer have a DNA check ?), and why so soon ? Yahoo news article says it was in conformance with Islamic custom. Who the hell gives a hoot about Islamic custom ? This is America - our customs are what matters and none other.
To insure veracity, the body should have been kept long enough to allow DNA investigation by investigators from various agencies (outside the Obama administration).

As the Yahoo article said : "The development seems certain to give Obama a political lift, as the nation swelled in pride. Even Republican critics lauded him." Hmmmmm.

After all the birther nonsense, I think that most reasonably minded people are burnt out from trying to eliminate doubt. I think at this point, Obama simply doesn't give a flying fig if whack job conspiracy theorists are going to invent wild theories out of no evidence.

I totally agree. If the PRESIDENT of the US goes on TV and says Osama Bin Laden is dead.... the mother ****er is DEAD. If you DONT believe it.... youre a non-thinker.
