Please, you can go back to biblical days to find leaders celebrating the deaths of their rivals. I know it pains you to accept that OBL has bin killed on Obama's watch, but there's absolutely nothing you can do to prevent Obama, as the Commander-in-Chief, from receiving accolades for this monumental occasion.

He doubled our troop strength in that region and turned up the heat in the war in Afghanistan. I give Bush credit for taking the war to them in Afghanistan, but with Bush, that war took a back seat to Iraq.

Umm, as Commander-in-Chief, Obama is the leader of our military. That aside, those involved in taking OBL out are American heroes tonight.

1) I'm for not giving Obama too much of the credit for this one. It happened under his watch, is all.
2) I don't think in the grand scheme of the War on Terror and our ongoing operations in Afghanistan that this is going to make all that much of a difference.

I am glad that the mother****er is dead though.

I agree it won't change much, but as I said in my earlier rant this is a moral victory. It is nice to know the SOB is gone.

1. I think he deserves some credit, but until I get more info I'm not sure how much. But of course he will be given more than he deserves by a lot of people. That's true about every president and his accomplishments or failures though.
2. I'm not sure how this will impact it - I'm neither optimistic or pessimistic about this, I'm just unsure and waiting to see what happens in the coming months.

I think most people, including me, are just happy as hell that we/they caught him - I wish he was alive though.

To be fair though, he did laud the military for the last 10 years and the whole effort in Afgahnistan.
