on a different forum, long ago, i remember noting the rising domestic opposition to Bush in the area of the war on terrorism, and i remember predicting that eventually the Left would even claim that the perpetrators of 9/11 were victims.

at the time, of course, i was accused of all manner of demagoguery and vilification because no one could ever......


well, i read this, and that just sort of came back to me.

So, who is claiming that the perpetrators of 9/11 were victims?
And what has that to do with K- daffy, let alone his grandchildren?

Surely, no one is saying that K- daffy's children and grandchildren were behind 9/11, are they?

He was our ally until he started murdering his own people like a mad man consumed by genocidal rage. Funny how some people can't see the forest for the trees. How many Libyans have lost grandchildren to Gaddafi's henchmen. seems your sympathy is misdirected..

there's nothing wrong with acknowledging the passing of a human life. when it comes to the members of this regime; i have no problem acknowldging their death - and i hope to get some chances to do alot more of it in the future.

Yes, I've heard of Gitmo and waterboarding. So, what does any of that have to do with killing Gadaffy's grandchildren? There seems to be a big disconnect here.

Libya has as much to do with the attack of 9/11 as does Iraq: Exactly zero.

There is something that Gadaffy duck, Saddam Insane, and the perps of 9/11 had in common. But we can't say what that is, don't want to be labeled you know.

I know Iraqis who lived in Iraq under Saddam, it was largely a secular dictatorship.

I never said Gaddafi or Saddam were Islamist. They were however Sunni muslims as where the perps of 9/11... you sir might want to read.

Correct. I worked on the Hound Dog missile. It was more than just a missile in many ways. It had its own jet engine and fuel tank plus a warhead. It had a range of 350 miles.

One of the neat things about this missile was that the B-52 could use the missile's jet engine to help in takeoff get the heavy B-52 up off the ground.

I see. So, since the perps of 9/11 were Sunnis, that makes all Sunnis guilty of the attack. Therefore, we attacked Iraq and are currently in Libya because the people there are Sunnis. Now, what other nations are Sunni, and therefore a part of the attack on the WTC? We might as well attack them as well, since they are, after all Sunnis.
 
Young lifes taken, the question is why ???. There cannot under any circumstances be any excuse, reasonable or otherwise, for the brutal killing of young children.

Here's an interesting question. Over the last hundred years, how many nations have endured revolution and/or civil war and ended up "better" because of the process? Ok. Now given the same criteria, ask yourself how many nations ended in a worse situation than before the power struggle began....

Obama and his NATO ass clowns have opened a 'Pandora's box' which could exacerbate further conflict in the region

Chances are Saif wanted to defect so Gaddafi executed him.. after all he is suspected to have killed his own step-daughter to gain sympathy.

I mean by a long shot.

Gadaffi's all kinds of crazy, but he groomed that guy to be his heir, and I doubt having put all that effort into making Gadaffi 2, he would throw him away to carelessly.
 
We now celebrate the killing of the sons to avenge the sins of the father?

Maybe we are more alike in our thinking to those in the Arab world than we might imagine.

it was more of a sensation - that some people always make victims of our opponents simply because we beat them, and irrespective of who or what they are.
