WI Democrats ready to submit signatures to recall 6th Republican senator

There were quite a few stories in the WI papers about the initimidation that the republican signature gathers were under and the difficulties they had getting people that (allegedly) wanted to sign, but felt intimidated by the union protestors that formed "bloackades" around the signature gatheres.

The newstory that I am specifically thinking of went into details about the measures the gatheres had to take to fool the union guys into thinking they would be in one place, but would actualyl be in another. They would have to be constantly on the move to stay one step ahead of the protestors, since the protestors would eventually figure out where they were actually at.

If you can find the article, I would like to read it and make a legitimate, educated response.

here it is. I guess some would act like they were going to sign, then they'd write **** You on it. Real cute, huh? I don't think we are dealing with adults.

Not even sure where to find it. You can try searching. To help out, one of the details I recall was that on one of the lsat days of the recall effort, the republicans bought teh protestors coffee and doughnuts to show no hard feelings. The protestor "boss" (or whatever) expressed how classy they thought the gatheres were through the entire effort.

How is it you know about the GOP but not the 3 democrats being recalled?

Umm, tell me where I said I didn't. In fact, I think I've been fairly straight forward in my belief that I don't know who is going to win, and have only acted with respect towards my fellow board members. As it is, I have kept up with both sides of this story. This thread just happens to be about recalling a republican, so I don't really feel I should have to apologize for responding to the topic at hand.

I have a couple problems with this. In this video I can only count about 10 people or so in about 90 degrees of the possible 360 degree frame, none of which were doing more than standing, none of which even close to the table. Even if we multiply that by 4 that makes for maybe 50 people there to 6 officers. I also have a problem taking "weaselzippers.us" as a credible source. Again, even a ripped petition was the action of one person. To generalize the whole group as thuggish for standing there while one jackass defiles a petition is again, very disingenuous. Not right of the person to do it, but not a representation of everyone there.

I suppose I should have been more specific. Does anyone have any of the alleged newspaper articles or just rightist blogs? Again, I think I have proven my ability to see issues from both sides, but a blog as a reputable source just doesn't do it for me.

Well, i'm about 90 percent certain my story was in a mainstream WI paper. Probably JSonline or Wausau Daily Herald (since those are the two I read the most). If I find it one day, i'll post it.

I truly would appreciate it. I'm in no way saying its not possible, I just have a hard time finding credibility in a blog who's main priority is to support partisanship. I would have the same problem if the shoe were on the other foot.

a torn petition, the tearing of which is apparently a felony in WI. Can I assume you approve of this method of protesting the petioners?

Then bring em to court... File a case...
