Trump throwing his hat in would be similar to the many Al Sharpton Democrat Party ticket runs. Basically, meaningless. Too bad. It would be fun to watch Obama take The Donald out with The Trash.

How is this again? Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Trump supporter, but at least he asks the questions and makes the statements that need to be made.

I don't recall the Birther issue being of that much importance except to those who are silly enough to take conspiracy theories seriously.

Your comment on him was very general and vague, so I pointed out something specific. Nowhere did I indicate that the Birther issue was the only thing he was talking about.

Fair enough. I wasn't trying to be a smartass and I can see where that came across as an unfair attack.

My point was Trump has been talking about other issues, such as the debt, China, and healthcare. I haven't listened to much of what he has to say just because of my schedule, so I'm not exactly sure of where he stands on all of these issues (which is why I don't know if I'm buying into his hype just yet).

I hate to break this to you, but that is not the only requirement of the job. Trump would not make a good president no matter how well or poorly he has done in business.

In 1988 a professor at the University of Iowa told a bunch of political science majors that we shoudl vote for the best looking candidate because the American people were too stupid to deal with the issues. I was quite insulted back then, but look at our last few presidents -- Clinton, Bush, Obama. Can we really say we chose candidates who had a masterful grasp of the issues, who made honest and compelling arguments?

It's not enough. The military is much better armed. A non-violent overthrow is far more preferable. I would love a real choice, sound opposing views. Real debate. But if it doesn't start with us, the people, it will never happen.
 
Trump really is not a good candidate. The GOP have no one. Although Trump is MUUUUUUCH better than Palin! :lol:

Ask yourself if the current system works for you....then ask yourself who the system DOES work for.

My perception is that it works for career politicians. I think it works for the unproductive, who happen to be good at paperwork. And I think it works for the couple thousand people in America who could truly be described as "wealthy". And it falls off from there.
 
I am starting to think he is actually going to try to run.
 
BTW.. I hope he does run. That would be so entertaining, and Charlie Sheen said he is thinking about running too... lol
