GOP insiders embrace Trump's Presidential bid

The Republicans haven't been in power for 30 years, wtf are you talking about?

As the context of my post indicated, I was talking about the 8o years of rule of law in this great country under both parties that have agreed that both SS and M/M are Constituional given the intent of the founders as described in the Preamble to the Constitution.

Darn, Beat me to it....Man my laptop is slow.

j-mac

I do wish comprehension was high on the list of people here. Any idiot can misrepresent a single line. :coffeepap

barack the slasher hussein's HEALTH CZAR, dr donald berwick:

"any health care funding plan this is just, equitable, civilized and humane must, must redistribute wealth from the richer among us to the poorer and less fortunate, excellent health care is by definition redistributional"

what a weirdo

hardly a good choice for CZAR

oh well, interpret away

Time for the rich people to pay back to SS what they robbed from it.

robbed?

at 1176 a month?

LOL!

social security was sold to 3 generations as insurance, not welfare

That won't be fixed in any other way than a single payer system.

but single payer, according to the bbc two weeks ago, is "cruel and devastating"

BBC News - Surgeons raise alarm over waiting

it appears these lovers of all humanity don't really like people very much, after all

oh well

party on, petrograd

It means taking what doesn't belong to you.

social security was sold to 3 generations as insurance, not welfare.

Correct, and that is what it remains today. All the funding came from the insured and no one has effort been denied their premium, in good times and bad even with the banks failing!

It's not like our candidate needs to be American. Nobody cares about that stuff. We could hire us a nice Aussie. Or a Brit. Isn't there a country north of us somewhere?

It means taking what doesn't belong to you.

a worker making 70K pays into social security 892.50 per month or 10,071 dollars per year

over the course of a working lifetime, that comes to well over a half million dollars in PRINCIPAL investment alone

a worker who dies a month short of becoming eligible for benefits loses the bulk of his or her lifetime's investment

All the funding came from the insured and no one has effort been denied their premium, in good times and bad even with the banks failing!

My Way News - Social Security now seen to run permanent deficits

why is social security in such dire need of FIX

a program, especially one of such staggering scale, which can't keep its fundamental promises is a failure

SS is not an investment program. It is a modest insurance program for the premium payer and his dependents. It was intistuted based on the intent of the Constitution to promote the welfare of We the People. It is what keeps our elderly from poverty.

SS is not an investment program.

LOL!

you can say that again

a half million dollars in and next to nothing out is the biggest boondoggle this side of red china

if social security is such a success why is it (again) in such dire need of fixing

All SS payments have always been made! Since tax cuts to the rich caused funding to be robbed from the SS fund, the reverse is the solution to its problems.

LOL!

a very low bar

even lower---it's in drastic need of fix

boomers, outyears...

get real

Since tax cuts to the rich caused funding to be robbed from the SS fund, the reverse is the solution to its problems.

tell it to the slasher

he's back from hollywood, i hear

tell him to call harry

get back to me when anything real happens

who's trump?

meanwhile, if something isn't done imminently to fundamentally restructure social security, medicare and medicaid, then they will simply not be there in their present form for the next generation

ie, it's that bad

where's the slasher, in hollywood?

tell him to call harry, put that plan in action

who's trump?

Trump is who this thread is about. Who is your choice for president if not for the most popular by the GOP voters?

Trump is who this thread is about.

that's nice

meanwhile, every two weeks that go by cost us on the order of another hundred billion we don't have

service on the debt, mere interest alone, is fast approaching a full trillion per year

our big 3 federal programs are looking like the soviet union in 1988

and obama's raising money in hollywood while lowering himself to cheap politics of envy and division---hardly presidential

all he really has to do is PICK UP THE PHONE

harry's waiting, slash

hurry

the popular pick?

currently?

LOL!

you're just gonna have to wait and see whom we select

whoever it is, i can assure you, will NOT be so loathe as the current party in power to restructure our budgets

because if we don't reform em, the big 3 entitlements as we presently experience em will collapse

where's barack the slasher?

why doesn't he call hurryup harry?

leadership, anyone?

I see, you will wait for the party to determine who is your favorite. Hope its someone you like! :sun

I hope Trump does run for president. Him or Sarah Palin.

But I don't think the GOP will be that stupid. (But here lately, I'm not too sure.)

Run Donald, run!

$892 a month is modist? I could buy an annuity a heck of a lot cheaper.

But you would have more risk in losing your retirement supplement. Elderly folks do not want risks in what is keeping many of them from poverty. and we would not be doing our duty under the Constitution to promote the welfare of the people if we place our elderly at greater risk of poverty.

the candidate with the guts, vision and leadership to reform our budgets and save social security, medicare, medicaid and our state pensions

ie, NOT barack the slasher hussein

he won't even CALL hurryup harry

leadership, anyone?
