Arizona Gov Vetos Birther Bill

I guess the liberals will now praise the governor?

Fix the language and re-submit.

Loser. I hate his guts.

It's Gov. Jan Brewer and I'm glad she vetoed it. It probably would have been struck down by a federal judge anyway.

Good to know that there are some members of the GOP that see the birther crap as nothing but insanity from a fringe element of their party. The sooner they distance themselves from it, the better.

I know it's absolutely unthinkable to a conservative to praise someone of an opposing view, even when they do something you agree with...

You might have a point if some liberals have praised her. None have. In fact, very few have even replied to this thread.

Well, it doesn't count now that it's been pointed out. Now it just looks like lip service.

Glad I got my post in. I also posted the link and a similar comment last night in another thread.

Sorry CC, if your post was intended to be praise for Brewer it was a little tepid. In fact, it was a little bit of a slam on the GOP, suggesting that only some Republicans are not birthers. To be clear, I don't believe that's how you intended it, just that it reads a little that way.

I think "fringe element" was clear that it was a small portion of the GOP. My post from last night was better, anyway.

It's already happened on another thread.

Happy now??

no, it was a smart decision, but shes still part of a gop racist movement that wants all mexicans out of arizona and the southwest, although all that land used to be mexican territory anyways, but who really cares right?

I hope the birther thing does not die and that Obama does not release his birth certificate until the election. I think an election between Obama and Trump would be a lot of fun to watch.

You think the "fringe element" is on the GOP side? How about not even being able to discuss illegal immigration without being called racist?

Exhibit A
