61 arrested over banned Paris Muslim veil protest

Europe, Australia...hell, even parts of ME population *see* it differently than you

you're making an appeal to popularity, which doesn't speak to the actual validity of the idea

you're assuming that she was demanded to wear it by her husband. In fact, I personally know people who choose to wear it due to their religious belief

Again, it is not a matter of religion.
Also, I'm not seeing how a piece of clothing can be "dangerous"

It can when you are driving a vehicle, and disguises can also be used in robberies.

Well might as well ban everything that covers your face all the time.

Bravo, Europe. Bravo. Islam must go.

Australia has not followed France by banning full-face coverings. granted, there are the bigots who would support such a move but you will get that in any Country.

to the non bigots, the burqa isn't considered "Anti-Australian". that's because Australia is a "MULTI" cultural society. if those who feel the 'need' to complain really want to express true Aussie culture, then perhaps everyone should conform to the original Aboriginal Culture.

Making such a law is going to bring up problems of just how much of one's head does one have to expose? Would nuns in habits be illegal?

But considering how visiting certain parts of the Middle East they force Western women to cover their heads I don't feel too much sympathy for the Muslims.
They really haven't shown any tolerance for others ways of life so it is hard to feel for them.
