Prosser gains 7,500 votes in Waukesha County - JSOnline
In a political bombshell, the clerk in a Republican stronghold is set to release new vote totals giving 7,500 votes in the state Supreme Court race back toward Justice David Prosser, swinging the race significantly in his favor.

The Waukesha County clerk's office has told state elections officials that they will be adjusting the vote totals to give incumbent David Prosser more than 7,000 new votes, said Mike Haas, staff attorney for the state Government Accountability Board.

"Waukesha will be adjusting their vote totals by 14,000," Haas said the Accountability Board was told.

Looking like Prosser won?

I was just watching the coverage of story on FOX and it seems they had missed a whole towns worth of votes.

I am glad that if he does in fact win by over 7,000 votes it will be a clear victory and send the message that the Republican has been doing a good job.

Had he lost by about 200 votes or less that would suck big time.

I once lost an election by 10 votes and I tell you that was very hard to deal with.

Wow, this is good news.

It is going to be months before we know for sure who won. Recount will be starting soon, followed by the court cases.

Wow, this is terrible news. Perhaps an entire Democratic town was also missed last night...

7000 vote margin seems decent. What are the rules for recounts and does this fall within the margin for an auto recount?

According to them, any candidate can ask for a recount at any time, although there are fees involved. Free recounts occur with the margin is less than .5% of the votes, and cheap recounts occur when the margin is less than 2% of the vote. Since we're looking at about a .1% margin on the last check, it's likely there will be a recount (if the loser wants one).
Looks like it would be a "cheap recount". I think that will be a lot of votes for Klop to make up, though.

Difference is over half a percent. Kloppenburg will have to pay 5 bucks per precinct for the recall.

La la la la la la la la :rofl

Now you!!

Officials dispute reliability of Waukesha County clerk's election data system - JSOnline

Waukesha — Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus' decision to go it alone in how she collects and maintains election results has some county officials raising a red flag about the integrity of the system.

Nickolaus said she decided to take the election data collection and storage system off the county's computer network - and keep it on stand-alone personal computers accessible only in her office - for security reasons. ...

Nothing on the AP web site yet, but if and when confirmed, the numbers will be updated.

Here is the AP web site that you can monitor. As changes come in, they will be reflected here, once they are confirmed by reputable sources.

NOTE1: If this is confirmed, and Prosser wins, then my prediction is correct, and my losing streak is over. :)

NOTE2: Oh the irony! At the time results were posted, votes for Kloppenburg in this thread were 5. After that, it went up to 7. Seems that 2 people voted in the poll AFTER seeing information that Klopp won the vote. Looks like they may be wrong, which makes this hilarious as hell.

Much as I hate to admit it, Dan, I kinda' like your style. ;)

Looks like PB wins the 'which DP poster will cry 'fowl' first if Prosser wins or looks like he'll win'.

WisPolitics Election Blog: Waukesha County clerk apologizes for 'human error' that led to reporting incorrect vote totals
She said the mistake was discovered yesterday during the canvass.

She stressed it was not a case of votes being found.

"I’m thankful that this error was caught early in the process and during the canvass," Nickolaus said. "The purpose of the canvass is to catch these kinds of errors."

The wild swing in Prosser's favor immediately raised concerns among Dems, who pointed out Nickolaus is a former staffer for the Assembly Republican Caucus who was granted immunity in the investigation into allegations of illegal campaign activities on state time.

Ramona Kitzinger, the Democratic member of the county board of canvass, defended the process. She agreed with Nickolaus that the board "went over everything and made sure that all the numbers jived up, and they did."

"I'm the Democratic vice chair of Waukesha County, so I'm not going to stand here and tell you something that's not true," Kitzinger said.

cp had him beat by a long shot on the first to cry fowl. Wonder why you never made fun of him....

because of the wording of my initial post on the subject. Go back and read it...

the words 'if Prosser wins' were in there. Now, ahd I not included Prosser, or said either Prosser or Klopp... then you'd have a leg to stand on. As it is, you don't.

Dearly beloved...........

blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

I now pronounce you man and wife.

pb and cp are now married. Opposites do attract, after all.

So you only make fun of liberals who act foolish. I see...

was that post directed towards you? No? There you have it.

If Redress (you know, the person the post WAS directed to) had a problem with what I said, I'd have been warned or infracted (given the standing of Redress as a moderator).

nada.

Not always. True, they are a much larger group, and therefore an easier target, but I do branch out and rag on conservatives and even the occasional libertarian now and then.
( I was soooooo gonna make a comment there, considering how wide open you left yourself... but I think 6 points is enough for now) ;)

Hrmm, not at all sure what to make of this:

COUNTY CLERK CANDIDATE PART OF STATE CAUCUS INVESTIGATION WAUKESHA POLITICIAN, A FORMER STATE WORKER, GRANTED IMMUNITY FROM PROSECUTION IN CASE.(LOCAL/WISCONSIN) - The Wisconsin State Journal (Madison, WI) | HighBeam Research

A candidate for Waukesha County clerk is one of several caucus workers who was granted immunity from prosecution in the criminal investigation into illegal campaigning on state time.

Kathy Nickolaus, 42, a Republican, said she hopes voters will accept her role in the ongoing scandal -- but she can't talk about it.

"I can't really say anything about the probe," she said. "I was offered immunity and I took it."

Guess who found the votes?

God Bless America.........

Freedom and Liberty did win in Wisconsin.....which of course means the DNC and its army of mind numb Union slobs lost......just like in 2010.
