Prosser gains 7,500 votes in Waukesha County

What in heavens name does your rantings about Al Franken have to do with this incident other than your own ideological extremist venting?

You mean besides the fact that Franken stole an election and the Democrats here bitching moaning about an apparent clerical error were defending Franken's fraudulent efforts all over the place?

It's called context, buddy.

You attack Dems for character assassination and then do the same thing in the same post. Amazing if this were not so predictable.

No. Once one is proven to have no character, as those pro-Franken lefties showed themselve to lack, it's not possible to assassinate their character. The dead cannot be killed twice, except by George Romero.

Duh. This was a POLITICAL CONTEST made so by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Every election is. Unions did not do that... state law did.

DUH.....judicial elections are supposed to be about the law, not goonion whinings. America's tired of goonion spoiled brat whinings.

Thank you for that declaration. You pontificate as if the words came from God himself.

Last time I looked, this is America and it is up to the electorate to decide what issues are important in an election. Not you.

Franken has not a damn thing to do with this and your 'context' is a cheap excuse to dredge up an old right wing cause celebre that you just cannot let go of.

Until you mentioned this, I was giving her the benefit of the doubt. However, I will admit that this new piece of info certainly makes her claim seem suspect, which calls into question whether or not she tampered with the vote.

what i want to know is, did she turn herself in? or was she caught? what party is she affiliated with?

Prior to this discovery, Waukesha had the biggest drop in voter participation (compared to the prior election) of all the other counties in the state. The discovery of the error actually brings the county right in line with the rest of the state. I highly doubt there is anything hinky about the whole thing, and really was just an error. If not, it wil be discovered during a recount or the media will review the counts if there is not a recount.

Waukesha turnout low before discovery - JSOnline

Before the adjustment, Waukesha would have registered by far the biggest decrease in turnout of any county in the state between last fall's governor's race and this spring's court race - almost 26 points, from 63% to 37%. The statewide drop in turnout between those two elections was about 16 points.

She is a republican. Th e head of the democrat party in the county also reviewed the numbers and is agreeing with her that it was an error that the 14,000 votes were not included in the totals.

She should be fired period. That is one hell of an error if true, and all those votes are tainted, especially if there is even remotely a doubt on the "chain of evidence" or whatever it is called in English. Checks and balances people.. there must be checks and balances.. and no, a Democrat coming after the fact to check the numbers is not check and balances. The vote information should have been under lock and key and guarded until the result was sent in and verified. Now we have a woman who locks the information in her office on her own PC, with only her having access.. if it had been a murder then she would be going to the chair on that evidence.

The Vice chari of the democratic party did not come after the fact, she was involved in it from the beginning at least from what i've been hearing on the radio. If you have different info, feel free to share.

It seems her mistake was not "saving" it to the data she was sending AP. They were never lost or suddenly found. There was also 14,000 not 7500unreported.
Wis. county corrects Supreme Court race vote count to give incumbent Prosser 7,500-vote edge - 4/7/2011 8:32:32 PM | Newser
Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus said more than 14,000 votes weren't reported to The Associated Press on Tuesday due to "human error." Nickolaus previously worked for a GOP caucus that was under the control of Justice David Prosser, who was speaker of the Assembly at the time and who now stands to benefit from the clerk's error.
"This is not a case of extra votes or extra ballots being found," Nickolaus said. "This is human error, which I apologize for."
Nickolaus said the most significant error occurred when she entered totals from the city of Brookfield, a suburb of Milwaukee, but they were not saved.

Yes, I was just coming back to post this info. Seems that all of the official forms were compelted correctly, it was just a problem with the document that was used to provide unofficial results to the media.

you mean like every time the left brings up Dubbya, when the topic is SUPPOSED to be Obama?

What evidence? Of what? Do you honestly think they are going to disenfranchise 14,000 voters? That ain't happenin'. You know nothing. I wouldn't want you on my jury.

you mean like every time the left brings up Dubbya, when the topic is SUPPOSED to be Obama?

and neither is the subject of this thread but you managed to obsessively work both in just the same.

and is anybody just the least bit curious why THIS woman "missed" the votes? she shouldn't even BE in her position, so i expect many challenges.

A: not surprised you'd cry fowl on this. God knows you'd be all over anyone on the Conservative side who did so if the votes found were for Klopp.

B: She shouldn't? What expert knowledge of her qualifications and the job do you base that opinion on, pray tell?

You said "...cheap excuse to dredge up an old right wing cause celebre that you just cannot let go of."

I brought up a parallel situation. I can't help it if you're too partisan to understand the similarities.

Parallel situation? And where exactly is the parallel?

This monumental screw up which calls into serious question the validty of the results would be one tiny bit of evidence.

I just discovered something a little weird about this. She says that she kept the records in a Microsoft Access data base. She also says she entered the numbers but forgot to save them. In Microsoft Access, you don't save data, as it is automatically saved when you enter it. You could enter that data, and then have a power outage, but when you boot back up and bring up the Access data base, whatever you entered will be there. I know, because I created Access data bases at the last company I worked for. While entering data during a thunderstorm, a lightning strike caused us to lose power. Next day, when we had our power back, I turned on the computer, brought up the data base, and the data was there.

So, knowing this, how can she say that she entered the numbers, but forgot to save them, and that this is the reason the numbers were not there originally? BTW, as far as data entry goes, there is no save option. The save function only exists for database design.

NOTE: I may be nitpicking, but I believe that this question needs to be answered. On the other hand, if it's good enough for the Democrat on the election board, then I seriously doubt that there was any funny business. Clearing up this point, though, will preempt conspiracy theorists, and I bet that there is going to be quite of few of them.
I know MS Access pretty well, and you are exactly correct, once data is entered into the database it's there. The only save functions are for designing the structure of the database, queries and reports.

Please.. tell me you're really not so stupid you can't identify a parallel between your comment...

and my comment...

You whine about the right bringing up old issues they cannot let go of, and ignore the similar issue of the left bringing up Bush (a cause they cannot seem to let go of).

How... typical of you.

Exaggerate much? The woman failed to send all the preliminary results to the Associated Press.

How typical of you to comare apples and cinderblocks and then complain that you chipped a tooth eating that nice grey pie.

um... you Access experts DO realize that the auto-save can be disabled, right?
