Obama Official: GOP Budget Would Kill 70,000 Kids

Then you aren't paying attention to the OP.

Republicans are trying to reduce spending.

The 0bama admin is claiming those reductions will kill 70,000 children.

Yep, like I said

No I don't know for sure, that's why I said IF it's true. And IF it is true, then people will die.

And they can't get immunizations elsewhere?

If this is true:

Then don't the cuts do just that...

"Kill" is a dramatic word obviously, but if we stop the immunizations, etc. won't people die?

It's up to the admin where to make the cuts. Read the OP.

The admin selected immunizations and trotted out 70,000 dead kids for effect.

Seems to be working.

And they can't get immunizations elsewhere?

I think the point was the USAID provides services in places where no one else can or does...I assume this money is going to some poor country, it's not like the kids are in Brooklyn and they can just go to another hospital.

Then why can't some other countries chip in?

Ask them. Maybe they do their part in other areas and this is one of our commitments. Maybe they don't. The point is, I think the U.S. can find away to not cut programs like this and still fix the economy.

If the morons hadn't outlawed DDT, there wouldn't be any malaria.

So... if that is where the admin CHOOSES to makes the cuts... it's the administration CHOOSING to kill kids... not the GOP.

While I somewhat agree with you, I believe that the American people really don't have the power to effect change. Without an out-and-out rebellion. Incumbants get re-elected. Fact. The noisiest special interest groups rule the roost.

What we deserve are politicians who are honest and well-meaning...who put the good of their country before their own self-interests. What we get are self-serving miscreants.

I think they do. Sure it would take time, and in would take involvment. But, they could shut down the nonsense rethoric, demand real answers, ask real questions, and vote for better people in primaries. politicians know they are in a beauty contest and act accordingly. If we don't change, they never will.

You mean besides "Democrats had dropped it from the monumental healthcare overhaul, according to Fox News, but the Obama administration has written it back in."

It was never a death panel. There is no such thing as a death panel. That is hyperbolic nonsense.

In other news, the administration sacrificed 70,000 children to save public union pensions.

It was never a death panel. There is no such thing as a death panel. That is hyperbolic nonsense.

That's right. Palin was never referring to any specific portion of the bill.

Turns out she was right:

"Democrats had dropped it from the monumental healthcare overhaul, according to Fox News, but the Obama administration has written it back in."

No, there was never a death panel. Never. Someone calling something a death panel does not make it one. How can you not understand this?

I think they do.

we sure do

tsunami tuesday---most house seats since 1938, most state reps and assemblies in history, 10 gubs, 6 senators...

party on, purblind

Boo, understanding an issue is not your strong point.

Boo, understanding an issue is not your strong point.

I was thinking the same thing about you. :coffeepap

I repeat, there is no such thing as a death panel. It never existed. Calling something a death panel does not make it one.

Yeah, I agree. The public pretty much takes what is given to them. A lot of us complain about the B.S. that politicians give to citizens, but that complaining is rarely turned into meaningful action. Most people don't take time to really examine issues thoroughly, most people have short political memories, etc. Everybody has the power to influence society, but not many have the will to exercise it.

Once is not the same thing as "constantly". Completely different in fact. So can you defend you comment or not?

Oh for crying out loud...do you really want me to find all the instances? Please.

And you missed the article I posted by bigjournalism.

Palin was not referring to any specific language in the bill.

You've been punked again.

<sigh> they are ALL democrats... accusing the GOP of fear mongering. I need MSNBC to accuse them for you to accept it happened?

That's sad.

A british paper is a democrat now? All democrats are part of the administration now? Either you failed entirely to read the comments you quoted of mine, or you really are totally desperate and dishonest.

Oh for crying out loud...do you really want me to find all the instances? Please.

Well if you cannot find the sources, you probably should not have made the claim. I did not say any one "constantly" did anything, that was you. Since they constantly do it, you should not have a hard time finding more than one example.

We're honestly arguing about who's more fear mongering?

Honestly.

Therefore openly admitting that both sides fear monger, and therefore as I keep suggesting.

Both sides are ****ing retarded.

Why is this such a difficult concept for people to grasp?
