EU to ban cars from cities by 2050

A village of around 2,000 doesn't really class as a city.

Acoma Pueblo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

LOL yea, if we start categorising areas of 2000 people as cities, then the number of cities will explode world wide :)

Not to mention.. 1 "city" compared to the amount in Europe? yea... totally comparable... I raise him Rome, Athens, Cadiz, London, Paris and so on and so on.

Seriously.. you have gone from "it is a horrible car because it is unsafe according to experts" to "not for me" when you find out that it not only passed safety checks but did well in them.

Face it, you opinion is not based on facts but based on one or two videos that look bad in your eyes. Go drive your truck that explodes on impact or/and flips over at medium speeds in a corner.

Did you not watch the two videos I posted? That is fact.

The car will be thrown when another car hits it causing more damage to the occupents.

No way to spin that.

Rough translation: "I don't like small cars and I don't like the look of this one, so crash test results be damned."

Whatch the videos I posted. Crash results be damned indeed. They show the car being thrown backwards after the initial crash. Are you saying that is an acceptable crash test to you?

What if another car is coming in the next lane? That car will hit the Smart and throw it some more.

Show me a crash test that the car did well.

By the way I drive a VW Crossfox. It is a small car but there are no crash tests for it as it is made in Brazil and sold in Brazil and Mexico. There is nobody to do the crash test. I don't know how it will survive, but I do know how the Smart does in crashes. Just too dangerous.

I watched it. The testers found it acceptable. I watched this one too...

... and, to quote the tester,
"The Smart does a good job in protecting its passengers."

If you look at any other crash test (just check them out in YT) you'll see that none of them maintain the vehicle in the same lane of traffic they are already in.

Again, so what. Like it or not, it passed all safety checks and has better ratings than most trucks...

Thank you Anda, I saw that but the car was redesigned in 2011 which is the one I have. No crash tests yet.

I can't believe they will have made it perform worse, do you? The resilience of many of the new generation small cars in comparison with poorly-engineered big cars is extraordinary. Would you rather be in a Smart of in one of these....?
