That guy got caught up in a homonym mistake... If you are going to make a sign showing your ignorance and hatred, at least choose the correct word...

No. ****ing. Way.

The U.N. Security Council on Thursday approved a no-fly zone over Libya and authorized "all necessary measures" to protect civilians from attacks by Moammar Gadhafi's forces.

It better be starting tonight.

"French Prime Minister Francois Fillon said if the resolution was approved, France would support military action against Gadhafi within hours. "

Congratulations on demonstrating your intelligence [/sarcasm]
Oh, but no señor. Congratulations on you having demonstrated your's and here's the bracket you forgot> [sarcasm]. You can't end sarcasm without starting it now can you! LOL

Of course, Of course....you must SUBJECTIVELY OPINE something into existence, PAY NO ATTENTION to the facts of what you have personally witnessed. The poverty level has not grown from 12.3% to over 15%. This administration has not SPENT more deficit dollars than anyone else in history COMBINED. There is no NEW NORMAL rate of unemployment hovering around double digits. There is no INFLATION on energy and Food, the greatest since another MR. PEANUT BRAIN held the same office 40 years ago. There is no open attack on US ENERGY RESOURCES, No Ban on New Drilling, No American Power Act....no making the US waste trillions of dollars in the middle east because of the Domestic Energy Policies (the redistribution of American Wealth to 3rd world **** holes)....No Attacks on Coal and Natural Gas....not to mention Oil. And of course there is no "limp dick" foreign policy that results with the inability to make decisions at a critical time. And of course this megalomanic is not PLAYING GOLF, TAKING ONE VACATION AFTER ANOTHER, and going to children's entertainment network shows like ESPN and Comedy Central while wasting time on March Madness....

Nope we must WAIT TEN YEARS....if you are an idiot that cannot point to the OBJECTIVE REALITIES that are demonstrable...RIGHT NOW. This is a NO BRAINER. Simply open your front door and ask the simple question. "Are you better off than you were just 2 years ago?" Indeed this megalomanic's incompetence will go down in history proving one thing....AFFIRMATIVE ACTION simply is not a good idea for the most powerful position on earth. The one that I actually feel empathy towards is HILLARY....damn she has aged 20 years in just the last few months.

It seems that you need some things clarified for you.

1. The widespread unemployment and poverty you see are caused by the economic crisis, which in turned was caused by the deregulation of the economy which started with Regan and continued with Bush. This leads to economic anarchy, where banksters are able to play Russian Roulette with everyone else’s money and when they get in trouble, they just have the politicians, whom they finance to bail them out using public money.

2. These rises in oil and food are due to some of the things listed here but also due to the revolutions in the Middle East, especially Libya, which has about 3.5% of the world’s oil reserves, thus of course with the instability going on in the Middle East, oil and food prices are going to increase.

3. Actually, Obama does not have a “limp-dick” foreign policy has he has increased the drone strikes, has more soldiers and Marines into Afghanistan, has had Bernake blast China over its supposed currency manipulation, and has sent special forces into Libya as to back Libyan rebels and is currently pushing for airstrikes in Libya. That doesn’t seem “limp-dick” to me at all.

4.You don’t seem to know the definition of affirmative action, if you did, you’d know that it has nothing to do with Obama being elected President of the United States.

Now it will be interesting to see how much of the lead France actually takes in implementing the No-Fly Zone, which is a military operation. Russia and China abstained, which is interesting, as it was feared they would veto the resolution. I wonder what their strategy is there.

It will take a few days to actually begin enforcing a no-fly zone, and I don't know if any other UN member has the resources to carry this out besides the U.S., but it would be nice to see some other countries spill some blood in the name of securing peace and human rights besides the US.

Wow, the UN actually did something! I am quite surprised and pleased - kudos to those involved. It was even in a semi-timely fashion

As a matter of fact, It was the UK, France, and Lebanon who proposed the motion, with eventual American support.

A BBC summary:
"Imposes "ban on all flights in Libyan airspace" except for aid planes
Authorises member states to "take all necessary measures" to "protect civilians and civilian populated areas under threat of attack"
Excludes occupation force
Toughens arms embargo by calling on all member states to "inspect in their territory vessels and aircraft bound to or from Libya"
Widens asset freeze to include Libyan Investment Authority, Central Bank of Libya and Libyan National Oil Company among others"

BBC News - Libya: UN backs action against Colonel Gaddafi

The vote passed with 10 in favor of passing the draft resolution, five abstaining and no UNSC members voting against.

The United States, Britain, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, Gabon, Lebanon, Nigeria, Portugal, and South Africa voted in favor of Draft Resolution 1973/2011.

Russia, China, Germany, Brazil, and India abstained.

This does not bode well... not well at all. The Libyans rebels don't really want interference, seeing as how they went so far as to capture SAS troops and have said that they don't want to be seen as US stooges, please look here as well.

And, though it may be coming late, I couldn't be happier that it is highly likely that the U.S. Will be playing a subordinate role. It is high time that others started stepping up.

In the short term at least, this results in a bifurcated Libya with rebel and regime held areas.

It could also gerrymander further... along tribal lines.

YES....F***ing way mister boogieman. Here is a squadron of English harriers in route bearing a cryptic airborne message for Monkeyface. Those not so discerning may want to squint.

So the usefulness and meaningfulness of your comparison of Iraq and Libya comes from the fact that the situations are so different?

I will now compare the reactions of the masses between what happened when the coal miners were rescued in South America and what might happen if the Japanese reactor has a total meltdown.

If Japanese reactor has a total meltdown, I wonder if the people who cheered the rescue of the miners will come out and and celebrate with hugs and kisses and champagne like they did when the miners were rescued? I think not.

???? What the hell are you talking about? Everyone here knows what he was saying. wow...open a window and get some air.

Fed up with a president “who can’t make his mind up” as Libyan rebels are on the brink of defeat, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is looking to the exits. At the tail end of her mission to bolster the Libyan opposition, which has suffered days of losses to Col. Moammar Gadhafi’s forces, Clinton announced that she’s done with Obama after 2012 — even if he wins again.

“Obviously, she’s not happy with dealing with a president who can’t decide if today is Tuesday or Wednesday, who can’t make his mind up,” a Clinton insider told The Daily. “She’s exhausted, tired.” He went on, “If you take a look at what’s on her plate as compared with what’s on the plates of previous Secretary of States — there’s more going on now at this particular moment, and it’s like playing sports with a bunch of amateurs. And she doesn’t have any power. She’s trying to do what she can to keep things from imploding.”

Clinton is said to be especially peeved with the president’s waffling over how to encourage the kinds of Arab uprisings that have recently toppled regimes in Egypt and Tunisia, and in particular his refusal to back a no-fly zone over Libya.

In the past week, former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton’s former top adviser Anne-Marie Slaughter lashed out at Obama for the same reason.

Obama himself made light of her strong feelings for supporting the opposition in a speech last week at the Gridiron Club Dinner, an annual gathering that traditionally features a stand-up comedy act by the president. “I’ve dispatched Hillary to the Middle East to talk about how these countries can transition to new leaders — though, I’ve got to be honest, she’s gotten a little passionate about the subject,” Obama said to laughter from the audience. “These past few weeks it’s been tough falling asleep with Hillary out there on Pennsylvania Avenue shouting, throwing rocks at the window.”

you should open the link and read the rest, it rings true

especially after all the in-your-face, totally unprofessional drama surrounding the ends of stanley mcchrystal, dennis blair and jim jones

and pj crowley, "hillary's spokesman"

the foreign policy she oversaw for 2 years and continues to run IS totally amateur---from china (currency, climate, human rights) to iran (when's he gonna talk to the leaders without preconditions) to the cartels (not even a talking point) to the palestinian peace talks (hi profile belly flop)...

hillary is the face of THIS foggy bottom, she needed to get OUT a long time ago

party on, peeps

I've asked this before, and so far no one has been able to find it, can you please supply links to what exactly what Bush deregulated.

Yeah, and after they **** things up 9 ways from Sunday, you'll be wishing the U.S. had taken the lead role.

No, you're right. George W. didn't deregulate anything (that I'm readily aware of) concerning the financial sector. But then he didn't need to, as the damage had been done with Reagan, Bush Sr. and Clinton. The financial meltdown was truly a bipartisan effort.
