Germany to shut down seven nuclear plants for safety review(edited)

Re: Germany's knee jerks

I have no problem living by one. There is one right next to Camp Pendleton.

When is the last time Japan was hit by a 8.9 earthquake and Tsunami....

Though it's been awhile since a earthquake of that magnitude was hit Japan. Quakes and Tsunami are common in that area of the world.

BN rules -- you MUST use the same name of the article in the title of the thread...

Re: Germany's knee jerks

So you wouldn't mind living next to a nuclear power plant?

Will my electric bill go down? I'd roll around in a nuclear truck if I was free from gas station prices. Unless, they figure out a way to make corn into our future national energy source, nuclear power is the way.

Well that's usually because of Godzilla, silly.

By the way, I'm headed for Lashkar Gah, not Leatherneck.

That's just silly. I'd rather live next to an Irish pub than a nuke plant.

Another chernobyl wont happen. Nobody was harmed by 3 mile island.

.
No one really knows.
A new analysis of health statistics in the region conducted by the Radiation and Public Health Project has, however, found that death rates for infants, children, and the elderly soared in the first two years after the Three Mile Island accident in Dauphin and surrounding counties.
