Wisconsin's Democrats to End Union Standoff

What we are seeing is phase 2 of the well orchestrated war on the middle class by the GOP.

Phase 1 - Citizens United - Get a right-wing activist court to rule that corporations are "persons" under the Constitution so that Corporations can contribute unlimited amounts of money to buy our elections.

Phase 2 - Eliminate the voice of the people.

You people who continue to vote against your own interests by voting GOP should open your eyes. The goal of the GOP is to essentially eliminate the middle class. Keep American workers hungry and they will work for peanuts. That is the "America" that the GOP is bringing you.

While very nice over-the-top hyperbole, the facts are literally absent. This is a states issue, there's a very real budget gap, and a very real issue with public union's cost to the tax payers, not to mention the Democrats who defy doing their jobs and are ignoring their own system of government and validating the elections of 2010 in Wisconsin. In Wisconsin, Ohio and NJ, the GOP is doing a very difficult job - cutting where so many before have spent without consequence. In California and NY, cuts are also being made by Democrats. This is not a "GOP is trying to kill the middle class" any more than DNC is trying to spread socialism and redistribute wealth far and wide. The sooner you understand math, the better off you'll be.

What you are failing to recognize or at least address is that Republicans are bringing up these bills all around the country. The GOP is out to destroy the middle class to benefit their corporate bed buddies....don't fool yourself.

or you could do what Americans have always done...and fight for what you want...

Yes you can...and accept your termination paperwork. Who knows...maybe the unions can be as effective at forcing outsourcing of teachers jobs as they were at forcing manufacturing jobs overseas. heres hoping...right?

If they destroy the middle class, how are they going to sell people stuff to keep these coporations sellling folks stuff?

You really didn't think this one through, did you? :lamo

THIS ONE???

Hey...union puppets just mouth the rhetoric they are told to spew...what do you expect?

Until the math is addressed at the State level and the deficits are reduced to a managable size, there is no GOP out to destroy anything. You're issue is just the sting of the DNC losing the elections, of which you know there are consequences. I see your hyperbole the same as I see the "OMGZ!!! The Liberals are all socialists wanting to turn America into Communist China Borg drones!!" hyperbole. Stop addressing the lowest common denomonator and address the fact that this is about math.

But dont you know that the only spending democrats do is to benefit society and the good of mankind. Evil republicans are solely responsible for the 14 trillion dollar debt. OK...cant really explain how dems managed to add 5 trillion in 4 years with control of all the spending appropriations since 2007 and control of the house, senate and white house up until a few months ago. And that unemployment rate (which doesnt count the number of people no longer ELIGIBLE)...well...thats juts all part of the democrats plan for an economic turnaround.

What is extraordinarily laughable are the conservatives that blame this on democrats...and the liberals that blame this on republicans. How anyone can proudly associate themselves with either side is absolutely beyond me.

Rev...are you really trying to say that there are not countries that exist all over the world in which there is no middle class? Countries all around the globe operate the way in which the Republican party is trying to run this country. When the wealthy control the vast amounts of wealth, they don't need to continue to produce in the same numbers. That way they keep massive numbers of hungry in the workforce and drive wages even lower.
Corporatists don't have an inherent desire to produce goods, they only have an inherent desire to amass wealth.
I think you haven't thought it through very well yourself -----Doh!

Yes of course......only unions should be able to contribute unlimited amounts of money to buy elections.

Phase 2 - Eliminate the voice of the people.

(D)ependent upon (D)ependents and their (D)ependence--The Democrat Party

There are some very good conspiracy theories - and you do highlight the ideological differences - the simplest of which is one side believes government is the answer, the other believes the government is the problem. There's a lot of grey in between but we have to put some of the responsibility back on these politicians. When they do stupid things, and both ideologies do stupid things, this fuels the extremes to get carried away. I think some extreme members of Congress do fit the cliche's but the majority do not.

What is extraordinarily laughable are the conservatives that blame this on democrats...and the liberals that blame this on republicans. How anyone can proudly associate themselves with either side is absolutely beyond me.
Let's make a distinction - there are Republicans and republicans and there are Conservatives and conservatives, just as there are Democrats and democrats / Liberals and liberals. What I think you meant to say is "Republicans blame this on Democrats". We can haggle all day long on what is and is not a Republican/republican or Conservative/conservative, but when we talk about political parties, I do make a distinction between a Republican and a Conservative of any stripe - they are not one in the same thing just as a Democrat/Liberal/liberal/Progressive are not the same thing.

I like to discern the action as people freak out when the label is use and your definition of the label doesn't match someone elses... the PC police come out and cry foul and give out tickets for generalizations.

Are unions "the middle class"? Really?

j-mac

Rev...are you really trying to say that there are not countries that exist all over the world in which there is no middle class?

Nope, but I don't see a country EVER that was overtaken by evil corporations that put themselves out of business... Hows that tin foil hat? :lamo

Countries all around the globe operate the way in which the Republican party is trying to run this country.

Name them.

When the wealthy control the vast amounts of wealth, they don't need to continue to produce in the same numbers.

But then there is no more neat stuff.... Rich people like neat stuff...

That way they keep massive numbers of hungry in the workforce and drive wages even lower.

Conspiracy nonsense....

Corporatists don't have an inherent desire to produce goods, they only have an inherent desire to amass wealth.

Really? So Ford doesn't want to make trucks? Then why don;t they get into banking...... Duh.....

I think you haven't thought it through very well yourself -----Doh!

I have, and I am laughing, and it's not with you..... :lamo

Interesting statement, but I'm sorry violence should always be used as a last resort. Your reasoning about Americans could bemused by the kkk or anyone who disagrees with the status qou. Thus as an american you should instead use your right to work for who you want to and vote for who you want to. Though I do have a slight addendem unless there is a voucher system removing collective bargaining rights from teacher is fundamentally wrong since there is no alternative. Thus my solution to you so no other teacher is put in danger of not having an alternative would be to call for the federal deregulation of schools and the impementation of a voucher system.
