Unemployment dips to 8.9 pct., 192K jobs added

SO The passing of Health Care Reform, and the Dont Ask Dont Tell Repeal was nothing?

Nothing? more debt and the bill does nothing to lower costs and improve quality.

Don't ask, don't tell affects the economy how?

Of course you would think it was one sided, your pro Reagan lol. You are absolutely right Bush didn't get us into this mess alone. But in eight years can you say he left us in better condition then we were in? Obama is three years in, why dont you wait before you compare him to Jimmy Carter? Thats like saying that Peyton Manning is the equivalent of Jamarcus Russel because he didn't lead the Colts to the Super bowl this year

You said what has he done since he's been in office, and why dont you let the health care reform kick in before you bash it

Why? because the healthcare bill makes no sense, you cannot add 30 million more in a country this size and lower costs and improve quality. Logic 101. The MA program is a good example of what will happen, ER usage is up and waits for doctors is increasing thus costs are skyrocketing. That is Obama care.

Can you explain to me how Bush was responsible for a 1.4 trillion dollar fiscal year 2009 budget when he left office on January 21, 2009? He was in office 3+months in fiscal year 20009? Bush left Obama 350 billion of the TARP funding to spend, Bush didn't create the 787 billion stimulus plan, Bush didn't takeover GM/Chrysler, and Bush didn't create the Afghanistan surge and get a 100 billion war supplemental in June 2009 as part of the 2009 budget?

BUDGET. bush created the 2009 BUDGET. obama couldn't, he hadn't been elected when the budget had to be created.

Have you look at it or are you following what fox news told you.

I'd be willing to bet I know more about the new healthcare law than most of the commentators on FOX, or than you. I took the time to actually read the first draft (all 1400 or so pages), as well as the revisions once they were posted, and the final draft once it was actually posted.

Given that you appear to spend very little time here, I'll forgive you not knowing that I use multiple sources to get my information... not simple FOX as you appear to have implied.

So TARP was in the 2009 Budget, the stimulus was in the 2009 budget, the takeover of GM was in the 2009 budget, the 100 billion supplemental in June 2009 was in the 2009 budget? Better try again, The budget for the U.S. Runs from October-Sept. and TARP was passed in October 2008 AFTER the budget was passed. It was a supplemental not part of the budget.

That is always the liberal argument, "you get your information from Fox News" when they get confused by intelligent posts.

Yes, you use blogs and op/eds that you agree with too! Well done!

I didn't imply anything. I just ask you a simple question because many of the posts I've read bash the bill but didn't even read it. Hell, even the republicans were bashing it and at the same time admiting that they didn't have enough time to read it. If you read it, then good for you. You are more informed then most of us. The bill is not perfect, but if congress can work together, they can admend it.

Corporate welfare in your world is actually corportions keeping more of what they earn and using that for job creation, dividends to shareholders, charitable giving, and expansion, something apparently you will never understand.

You got it partially right...good job con.....government handouts to rich corporate executives so that they can keep paying themselves and their corporate partners those bonuses that they "rightfully earned".

Yeah...you guys keep on fighting the real villans here...those state workers that make 25-50K a year. Man...those teachers and firefighters are causing all the economic problems in America today.

why not address what i posted, conservative? i never said tarp was part of the budget. i merely said bush wrote the 2009 budget, while you claimed he had nothing to do with it. however, tarp was passed with bush in office, right?

Well, guess we all could work for the govt. taking money from the taxpayers which are actual payments from the taxpayers NOT keeping more of what one earns but then who would you have to rail on? I would have thought someone from California would realize what a failure liberalism is but guess you love your misery.

Of course he signed the budget but there wasn't a 1.3 trillion dollar deficit in that budget. The deficit came from TARP, the stimulus, and the Afghanistan supplemental. Where do you think those dollars showed up?

Yes, you use blogs and op/eds that you agree with too! Well done!

I have used, and continue to use, the following sources...

ABC
CBS
MSNBC
FOX
Boston Globe
New York Times
LA Times
CNN
Reuters
Associated Content
AP
Real Clear Politics (links to other sources)

and even a few Media Matters pieces (when I could find one not rife with lies, distortions, misrepresentations, and heavily edited videos)
as well as blogs from various sources...

as have MANY posters here. I suggest Redress, if you dislike my sources, don't read/respond to my posts. That's why there is an IGNORE feature. Feel free to use it.

Oh, btw... only a moron would use a blog that DOESN'T support his stance.
