Christie also said that he sees "how much better I get at this job every day," adding he doesn't think he'd be a good candidate if he doesn't feel it from the heart.

"Like I said before, I am who I am and people have to trust, they don’t have to but they should trust, my instincts on this," he said. "I know me better than anyone else knows me. If I felt like I was ready, I’d go, but I’m not. But I’m also not going to go if I don’t think I’m ready.

I for one think his humility makes him more ready than anyone out there including the current occupant...

LOL..."I already know I could win".....that's being humble? Good one Rev.

"could"

he saying he "could" win, not that he would... engrish not so good, eh?

What no repetetive nonsense about wanting christie to run?

Saying I "Could" win is still not exactly the essence of humility....now is it Rev...DOH!

Nitpicking... so no "run christie run" posts? why not DD? :lamo

No...I'm backing Palin. I still think she is by far the perfect choice for the GOP. Nobody represents what the GOP has become today better than Sarah Palin. I've already started preparations to campaign for her here in California.

Honor and integrity, that's what makes you special.....

Thanks Rev...BTW...why is it that so many so-called "Liberatarians" are too embarassed to admit to being Republicans these days?

Nice try.....

I am against DOMA, for the repeal of drug laws, DADT, I am for ending all corporate welfare, etc. etc...

but you knew that.... Honor and integrity, once again.

Even though I do not like his policies , I would not like to see him die of a heart attack while running in the really bad physical shape that he is in.

He needs to call Mike Huckabee for some exercise and diet tips if he is considering the run. Huckabee did a great job... for a while at least.

and with the fat comments..... Are we really that devoid of debate that we concentrate on the meaningless?

It is far from meaningless when a persons obesity put them at risk for all kinds of health problems at the same time they are suppose to be serving the people they took an oath to serve. I am sure the citizens of New Jersey have the highest concern for the health and well being of the governor.

Are you this concerned about your president? He smokes you know? Shouldn't he be getting some advice from someone who quit? Aren't you worried he'll get cancer before his term is up?

All excellent points Barb. Yes, I share those concerns and it is sweet of you to share them for our President.

Thanks Rev...BTW...why is it that so many so-called "Liberatarians" are too embarassed to admit to being Republicans these days?

Because Repbulicans are war-mongers whom I don't agree with on a number of issues such as gay marriage, the drug war, and even economic issues. Republicans are not Austrians and vice versa. I'm just not compatible with that party.

The man just tells it like it is, which is very uncommon. He is humble as he says he doesn't know himself if he's yet qualified (that's basically what he's saying), but then again, he's more qualified than the guy in the office now - so his standards are pretty high too. I have only respect for the man... if he says he's not ready, he's not ready. I still wish he'd run as the bitch slapping of Obama would be epic. Damn shame.

Obama say he could win = pompous and arrogant.

Christie say he could win = humble.

Lawl. Wasn't he elected like 2 years ago? I thought 2 years of experience in government wasn't enough?

They are inwardly scared of Christi, so they attack his weight or anything else. They are scared because they know he could beat Obama. I for one hope Christi runs.
