Supreme Court rules in favor of WBC

Those people are vile in my opinion, but the court made the correct decision.

I totally agree. The way to deal with these intolerable people isn't by appealing to the Consititution. We have to allow this aberant behavior in order to ensure that reaonsable debate is protected. The way to handle these WBC folks is to confront them as individuals and let the know that our society will allow but not encourage their inhumane actions. We think of them in the same way that we think of a person who farts in the elevator.

I agree. If their God says that they should add to the suffering of others, then their God sucks.

It just isn't true that faith is an excuse for inhumanity. Whether you are a WBC asshole or a Muslim jihadi, your God sucks.

These people have mistaken "Satan" for God. Only the devil would put such a foolish notion into someone's mind - that God is killing anyone.

I really like the "theatre of the absurd" approach to situations like this. Go there and "join" them. With the most ridiculous exaggerations/costumes you can come up with.

Start a "third party campaign" in full support of their activities and beliefs pretending to be a member of your favorite enemy. "Ejaculation is intent to concieve. Homosexuality kills a baby before it can even be conceived". It's most fun of all if they don't get it!.

Mockery is the best policy. And if one of them takes a swing at you...voila, game over for them, big money for you.

i was actually searching for a cheap ticket to that Jackasses "Koran burning", last year. After rejecting my first several responses as unhelpful to counterproductive, I had settled on showing up with a fire extinguisher, making sure I got on as many cameras as possible. Let the Muslim world know that at least some of us don't approve of disrespecting another person's religion.

I just watched the Daughter of the Pastor of this group and Chris Wallace asked her what she had to say about her grop being a Cult based on this definition: "a religion or sect considered to be false, unorthodox, or extremist, with members often living outside of conventional society under the direction of a charismatic leader."

She said her Father would laugh about being call charismatic but the truth is she failed to defend her Cult as far as I am concerned.

I think the SCOTUS had no choice but to rules as they did but it's a fine line between Free Speech and incitement to violence which I see this as.

I also think States can limit protests proximity to crematories. If President Bush and others can set up free speech zones and get away with it States should be able to control the proximity to funerals of disrupting ceremonies.

On a late night Fox News show the host asked if in light of this incitement to violence being call Free Speech why can't he kick the WBC members asses and call it performance art.

I love that. This cult need to be labeled as such, but it would not have any effect on the ruling. After all dumb-asses are allowed to burn the flag.

Scum bags everyone of these inbred bastards.
