Young man confronts Zeta Cartel and kills two of them

And, in addition to tightening up border controls to prevent illegal immigrants crossing from south to north, start cracking down on shipments of illegal arms crossing from north to south. I believe most of the cartels' arms are coming from the US.

no, that figure turned out to be that 90% of the arms returned to the US by the mexican police had actually originated here. when you are talking about actual weaponry (assault rifles, explosives, etc) the flow is the other way. i've been tempted myself to try to procure a LAW and some det cord, but frankly i don't have a house yet, and the risks of engaging with those guys simply isn't worth it.

Do you have some evidence of that? What do you make of the CBS report above?

And what is 'procuring a LAW'? And 'some det cord'? A bit too much jargon for me, I'm afraid.

sure it will. simple supply and demand. raise the price of narco-terrorism in units of narco-terrorist blood, and watch supply fall.

But the problem you get with that is that the drug interdiction agents get paid far less than the narco-terrorists.

So what happens is that the drug interdiction agents take out the narco-terrorists, but then become narco-terrorists themselves in order to get paid better.

So, why doesn't it happen? Instead of Arizona instituting draconian laws against immigrants once they are there,

Draconian laws against immigrants? Don't you at least mean draconian laws against illegals or illegal immigrants?I have to wonder how many people who did come here legally appreciate pro-illegals lumping them in with criminals.

why not divert resources to securing the border - in both directions?

Resources are not being used to adequately secure the border in one direction. So how is the government going to secure the border in both directions?

To this point, we apparently lack the political will to take control of the border. We certainly don't lack the MEANS... and most Americans WANT it done... the politicians just won't DO it. Too many pockets being lined I suppose.
