Iranian lawmakers condemn protests; call for execution of leaders - CNN.com

Tehran, Iran (CNN) -- Iranian lawmakers denounced Monday's protests in Tehran and called for the execution of two opposition leaders for inciting the demonstrations, Iran's state-run Press TV reported Tuesday.

Members of the Iranian parliament issued fiery chants against opposition leaders and former presidential candidates Mehdi Karrubi and Mir Hossein Moussavi.

Press TV aired video Tuesday of lawmakers chanting "Moussavi, Karrubi ... execute them."

Looks like these protests may end the way those in 2009 did.

It is high time for outside forces to quietly get involved and insure this movement go forward.

I would like to see a few Ayatollahs be found dead, and I would if in charge of covert operations find a couple of willing Iranians to carry it out by some untraceable means.

Either that or just arm the people covertly with AK-47s or the Chinese version of same.

Of cousre Obama will sit on his hands or make useless speeches that don't help.

Yeah, let's initiate an Iranian Civil War......

Supporting a side AFTER an all out civil war has started is one thing, but intentionally trying to start a civil war in another country is absolutely appalling.

Iran has to starts it own movement like Egypt did. If Iran's movement is spurred by outside forces then it will not have the teeth to form a new Iran.

We can offer material support, but if you're suggesting direct intervention that's not a legitimate option. The Iranian people will see it through or they won't. Their liberty is theirs to take, not yours to give.

I would like to see a peaceful transition to liberal democracy everywhere possible, and the preservation of same against our domestic version of religious autocrats.

Having fun with your imaginary war games?

Like Lebanon, only with 12x as many people. Remind me how that worked out...

In other words, he'll behave as an American President and not George W. Bush. Too bad they don't let 6-year-olds become President, huh?
