Moderator's Warning:
Namecalling is not allowed here, nor is baiting, which this post is. It needs to stop and you need to get on topic.

I think that it is admirable that he stepped down immediately and didn't go through the nonsense of denying the allegations and blah blah blah. He should at least be commended for that. As for how his wife feels about him... that's really nobody's business but hers.

What you forget it when they resign there is no one representing the people for the time being. Or if they don't resign they still can't do their job effectively due to the distraction of their exposure. They were voted in with the understanding they would go their job. So it's more than just cheating on their wife's. It's hurts more people than just the family.

Of course maybe I'm taking this too far as I resent it when senators take a leave of absence and run for president.

Once again the party of 'family values' proves they are no better than anyone else.

Congressman Chris Lee Resigns After Shirtless Photo Posted on Internet - ABC News

I think the original post message has been changed. The point being made is that Republicans run for office based largely on the fact that they are more moral. That Democrats do not hold the Christian high ground like they do. ((Many many posts about the current President not having Christian values))

I could care less because I see them as the same but the original post had as much to do with claiming moral high ground than it does about doing something wrong.

I have just one thing to say about this particular Republican Congresscritter:

It was a woman this time. A very hot place has just gotten very cold.

In related news, it has been reported that Chris Lee is switching to the Democratic Party. LOL.

Charlie rangel (D) - reelected
Tom Delay - sentenced to prison
Lewis Libby - convicted
ALphonso Jackson - resigns
Lurita Doan - resigns
Julie MacDonald - resigns
Lester Crawford - resigns
Sandy Berger (D) - bupkis
Cynthia McKinney (D) - no charges filed
Bob Ney - 30 months in prison
Ted Stevens - convicted 7 counts
Bruce Babbitt (D) - cleared of all wrong doing

12 more for you. all (R) either convicted or resign, all (D) zippo

Add Bob Packwood; resigns... they say he tried to kiss some babe in an elevator. Sexual harassment.

Bill Clinton lies under oath about having sex with a government employee... gets fined and disbarred. But, but, but it was his personal business... it was... it was his personal business. Leave him alone, it was his pesonal business.

Lying under oath to deny someone their day in court is OK for Libs. It reveals their level of "standards". The party where perjury by their president is OK.

No, you're not an American, but you surely are a promoter of the SAPs (Socialists of America Party). Even though you can't vote for them... you sure do run your mouth for them.

Youz be a socialist in the Pelosi-Reid-Obama... Pierre Trudeau mold. A true SAPologist.

Here's what Speaker Boehner had to say about Lee today on Meet the Press

John Boehner Meet the Press (Video, Transcript) Feb. 13, 2011 | Shallow Nation

MR. GREGORY: Let's talk about some of the things you've had to deal with just this week in Congress. Former Congressman Christopher Lee, who resigned after posting some, some photos, answering something on, on Craigslist. This is not the picture he put there, we didn't want to put that up. But it was a, a picture without his shirt, communicating with a young woman via Craigslist. He resigned immediately. You talked to him about it. What did you tell him?

SPEAKER BOEHNER: I, I--conversations that I have with my colleagues are private, and I'm going to keep them that way.

MR. GREGORY: But you made it very clear that that kind of behavior was not appropriate.

SPEAKER BOEHNER: I'm not going to divulge conversations that I have with my colleagues. The American people have the right and should expect the highest ethical standards from their members of Congress. I made this clear to my members going back four years ago, and I told them that I would hold them to the highest ethical standards, and I have.

MR. GREGORY: So personal behavior, personal indiscretions are fair game when it comes to evaluating leadership and fitness for office?

SPEAKER BOEHNER: I'm going to hold my members to a high standard.

MR. GREGORY: Personal indiscretions, personal behavior

SPEAKER BOEHNER: I'm going to hold my members to a high standard.
