Americans Think Obama Would Lose In 2012

Oh, I'm hoping you are right, and have seen the error of their ways, at least enough so, to see this president is nothing but Bush on steroids when it comes to spending, and not give him a chance at a 2nd term to continue down this path.

To be honest I think many, if not most, just see the D or R next to their name.

I did not realize that Justin Timberlake was a constitutional scholar, a graduate of one of the top law schools in the country and a professor at one of the other top law schools. If you are hiring data clerks with that kind of resume, you are not a very good businessman.

OTH, "you guys" take seriously a four time drop out of series of third tier schools that has never fulfilled the commitment of any elected job she has taken. That certainly says a whole lot about your standards of excellence... so why am I defending myself to the likes of you?

So...we're now considering anyone who graduated from a good college to be president. Alright!! In May, there's going to be a whole bunch of new presidential candidates to choose from right after they walk across the stage and get pictures with their parents!!

I've done more in my professional life than Obama, and I'm not qualified to be president. And unlike Obama, I'll actually show you my college transcripts.

While I do think there is plenty of room to make spending cuts on this, I find it troubling that it's usually one of the first budgets we usually talk about cutting rather than all the spending we send overseas. We the people actually use the education system and get something out of it (not enough admittedly). It's our money and our own social programs should take priority over programs of foreign governments.

The one thing that people tend to leave out in discussing education spending is how much of it goes to healthcare costs for staff.

Consider healthcare costs have risen 48% since 2000 (vs. the CPI rising 26%). Federal education spending has been above inflation, as well, but part of those funds are eaten up by cost for healthcare premiums.

To quote Ronald Reagan, "There ya go again..."

I did not say that being a graduate of a good college qualifies you to be President. I was only taking issue with your direct assertion that he was less qualified than Justin Timberlake or your data entry clerks (a silly and disingenuous comment by you, BTW)

That said, being a constitutional law professor at one of the nations top law schools is an extremely prestigious job and a very noteworthy accomplishment.

Media Inquiries | University of Chicago Law School

Rest assured he did not get this job without showing his transcripts... and they would have to have been reasonably impressive. I'm not sure why you feel compelled to see them. The have obviously been given more expert scrutiny than you can apply (moreover, when was the last time you asked to see your Doctor's, accountants or attorney's grades???).

Given that the primary job of president is to uphold the constitution, I would say that being a scholar in the matter is a helluva qualification.... granted it is a many faceted job and knowing the constitution and its history is just one of those facets.

(Certainly if you have accomplished more than a faculty position at one of the nation's top law schools, I would love to hear about it....)

Now in my opinion there is something that “every American” should be behind, take care of our own first and foremost.

Sorry I'll vote for someone who isn't a lawyer, over someone that is all day long, In this day and age, when such things as honor, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and morals all seem to be a thing of the past in our elected officials a law degree is more often then not used to skirt the laws then uphold them.

That's quite the generalization. Kind of like saying all doctors are ambulance chasers.
