U.S. in Contempt Over Gulf Drill Ban, Judge Rules - Bloomberg
1. The Obama White House sure is knowing an awful lot of worry THIS WEEK over the Judiciary.
2. No wonder Chuckie Schumer, the new defacto leader of the party still in power in upper parliament, forgot that the robed independents comprise our government's third branch.
3. An awful lot of trouble, too, the adminstration is having with TRANSPARENCY.
4. Judge Martin Feldman of New Orleans TODAY followed up Roger Vinson's pivotal ruling out of Florida MONDAY finding that the mandate, as well as the federally imposed yet unfunded expansion of Medicaid eligibility on our already bankrupt states, and Obamacare in its entirety are all unconsitutional.
5. A "determined disregard" of the court, found Feldman, concerning the adminstration's bullying drilling ban.
6. "Defiance," "dismissive conduct," tantamount to CONTEMPT of the independent judiciary out of the Eastern District of LA, held His Honor.
7. The DOJ, completely out of character, clearly chastened, came back with "no comment."
8. This is the same Interior Department which Obama's OWN spill panel reported "misled the public" about the real damage done in those dark hundred days of BP.
9. This is the same Interior Department ratted out by its OWN inspector general for "rewriting a report to suggest – wrongly – that independent experts had endorsed a six-month ban on deepwater drilling" after that fatal failure of the blowout preventer.
10. But the president's CONTEMPT for the right of our republic's electorate to know what's going on inside our government is certainly not limited to health care, drilling and BP.
11. No, House Oversight requests for emails explaining the White House's repeated stonewalling of FOIA applications have been, well, stonewalled.
12. Issa is trying to get to the bottom of AP's assertion last July that "top DHS officials told career employees to steer sensitive FOIA requests to Obama’s political advisers for scrutiny."
13. The White House promised on January 14 to accede to the Committee's requests by the 28th.
14. Then, on the 29th Interior mailed another letter in lieu of the sought after emails, promising to comply by Saturday, noon.
15. Issa hit back hard, intimating to all the insiders that he has a department whistle blower who has indicated to him that "top DHS officials actually instructed career employees not to search for the documents he is requesting."
16. Frustration of the FOIA has been a constant theme in this administration from the beginning.
17. There were the roadblocks against disclosure of the White House visitor logs, the AIG bonuses, and the allocation of TARP funds that found their way in the tens of billions to foreign banks.
18. And on top of all this CONTEMPT and lack of TRANSPARENCY is the creeping CRONYISM which has come to charactrerize this crew.
19. After learning that HHS has EXEMPTED some 800 Too Bigs, many of them SEIU locals, from Obamacare requirements the rest of America must be held to, we are told today that the White House has WAIVED General Electric, parent of MSNBC, whose CEO Imelt was recently raised to Jobs Czar, from GREEN energy guidelines the rest of us must endure.
20. Why all the obstruction, contempt, unconstitutionality, rewriting of reports, misleading of the public, exemptions for SOME?
21. Secretary Salazar, Secretary Napolitano, Attorney General Holder?
22. There's a PATTERN, here, and America's catching on.

The Obama Administration acted in contempt by continuing its deepwater-drilling moratorium after the policy was struck down, a New Orleans judge ruled.
Interior Department regulators acted with “determined disregard” by lifting and reinstituting a series of policy changes that restricted offshore drilling, following the worst offshore oil spill in U.S. history, U.S. District Judge, Martin Feldman of New Orleans ruled yesterday.
“Each step the government took following the court’s imposition of a preliminary injunction showcases its defiance,” Feldman said in the ruling.
“Such dismissive conduct, viewed in tandem with the re-imposition of a second blanket and substantively identical moratorium, and in light of the national importance of this case, provide this court with clear and convincing evidence of the government’s contempt," Feldman said.
