Planned Parenthood Video - Helping The sex trade

it's a sign of the times

it's a sign of the times

It's been a sign of the times for at least a two decades. The anti-abortion group has always tried to use government intervention to work around the inconvenience of the continued legality of abortion.

Both sides of the aisle see hypocrisy with this of course. The right on abortion and th left on gay marriage.

Yay for government control and using politics to deny citizens legal procedures!

If they closed PP facilities, that would make abortion illegal? Wow, I did not know that.

Perhaps you should look at that post again. He was not refering to PP. But to VA doing what they can to close abortion clinics period by passing what can be termed a "back door" law. They are trying to require that any place that does abortion must be put under the catagory of a hospital...which means stricter regulation in pretty much everything...including how big the building that the abortion clinic must be in. Most abortion clinics are small so will not meet the building size requirement.

From the link he quoted...

Gov. Bob McDonnell, a Republican and Catholic, supports the measure and when he signs it into law, Virginia will become the first state to require clinics that provide first-trimester abortions to meet the same standards as hospitals. The requirements could include anything from expensive structural changes like widening hallways to increased training and mandatory equipment the clinics currently don't have.

While abortion providers must be licensed in Virginia, the clinics resemble dentists' offices and are considered physicians offices, similar to those that provide plastic and corrective eye surgeries, colonoscopies and a host of other medical procedures.

The guy goes in misrepresenting himself and wanting a specific reaction, throwing out stupid questions and comments and such... It's kind of disturbing how good he is at misrepresenting himself and talking about that sh*t like it was no big deal.

This videotape deserves to be taken less seriously than a Micheal Moore film...

So I take it you thought the same of the liberal journalist pretending to be a Koch Bro. when he called Walker?

Read what Kal'Stang posted above. PP had nothing to do with my post.

Since abortion is legal they are using politics to try and make it impossible to do business by closing their offices because their hallways are 6 inches to narrow and they aren't purchasing equipment they don't need.

A man who appears to be a National Public Radio senior executive, Ron Schiller, has been captured on camera savaging conservatives and the Tea Party movement. “The current Republican Party, particularly the Tea Party, is fanatically involved in people’s personal lives and very fundamental Christian – I wouldn’t even call it Christian. It’s this weird evangelical kind of move,” declared Schiller, the head of NPR’s nonprofit foundation, who last week announced his departure for the Aspen Institute.

In a new video released Tuesday morning by conservative filmmaker James O’Keefe, Schiller and Betsy Liley, NPR’s director of institutional giving, are seen meeting with two men who, unbeknownst to the NPR executives, are posing as members of a Muslim Brotherhood front group. The men, who identified themselves as Ibrahim Kasaam and Amir Malik from the fictitious Muslim Education Action Center (MEAC) Trust, met with Schiller and Liley at Café Milano, a well-known Georgetown restaurant, and explained their desire to give up to $5 million to NPR because, “the Zionist coverage is quite substantial elsewhere.”

On the tapes, Schiller wastes little time before attacking conservatives. The Republican Party, Schiller says, has been “hijacked by this group.” The man posing as Malik finishes the sentence by adding, “the radical, racist, Islamaphobic, Tea Party people.” Schiller agrees and intensifies the criticism, saying that the Tea Party people aren’t “just Islamaphobic, but really xenophobic, I mean basically they are, they believe in sort of white, middle-America gun-toting. I mean, it’s scary. They’re seriously racist, racist people.” Schiller goes on to describe liberals as more intelligent and informed than conservatives. “In my personal opinion, liberals today might be more educated, fair and balanced than conservatives,” he said.

When the man pretending to be Kasaam suggests to Schiller that “Jews do kind of control the media or, I mean, certainly the Zionists and the people who have the interests in swaying media coverage toward a favorable direction of Israel,” Schiller does not rebut him or stop eating. He just nods his head slightly.

That's the way it should be.

Abortion laws would fall under State Rights and should have never have become a Federal issue.

There is no need to fund these people and never has been. They are, like Unions, an arm of the Democratic Party.

They also provide possibly the only decent news source in the country right now. They can probably make it without funding, but lets to test it too much. Thanks!

But it did/does. If you don't like it then find an honest way of changing it. These backdoor policies are bullcrap in a nation thats purports to value Truth, Justice, and Freedom as the American Way.

The only decent news source in the country??

If that were true you should start looking outside the country.

Try the Wall Street Journal.

Video shows Planned Parenthood manager aiding 'pimp' - Washington Times

"In their video the “pimp” had a conversation with Amy Woodruff, the clinic manager, in which he said he was involved in “sex work.”

When the “pimp” tells Ms. Woodruff the girls are around 14 and 15 years old and speak no English the clinic manager is shown saying “so long as they just lie … we just kind of play it stupid.”

As many here know, I'm no fan of PP, but the premise behind the setup sucks. Regardless of what you think PP is about, the people that work there are health care providers, who shouldn't judge collateral distractors when assessing the healthcare needs of the patients.

I guess the only real test that could be failed is that if PP hadn't alerted law enforcement to a potential exploitation of under-aged girls....but they did alert authorities.

here we go again, more heavy editing:

Betsy Liley, the other NPR executive at the infamous video taped lunch with Ron Schiller at Café Milano, is the target of a second video released by James O’Keefe’s Project Vertas today.

The video shows Liley telling a member of the fake Muslim charity that NPR could, by accepting the proposed $5 million gift anonymously, shield the charity from a government audit of NPR's books.

“[The government has] audited our program, at times, and they have, I think as part of that, they have looked at our audited financials,” she tells the undercover activist by phone. “If you were concerned in any way about that, that’s one reason that you may want to be an anonymous donor. And we would certainly, if that was your interest, want to shield you from that.”

UPDATE: NPR released a statement condemning Liley’s statements in the video.

“The statement made by Betsy Liley in the audio tapes released today regarding the possibility of making an anonymous gift that would remain invisible to tax authorities is factually inaccurate and not reflective of NPR’s gift practices. All donations – anonymous and named – are fully reported to the IRS. NPR complies with all financial, tax and disclosure regulations.”

Since immediately after the guy posing at as a pimp left PP contacted the authorities, why exactly would you want to defund them? Based on a heavily edited videotape?

Are you kidding? Again, a liberal. Why is it that liberals are on the wrong side of everything?

Apparently you did not notice what I said, or what I was replying to. I stated, quite clearly that PP acted appropriately. The organization acted appropriately, while the person involved may not have. In fact, if the video is accurate, then PP acted appropriately again in firing them.

It helps if you follow conversations and don't try and assign words to people they did not say.

Don't you just love how liberals talk down to people... why is it that liberals feel so much smarter then then rest of us? Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Are you kidding? Again, a liberal. Why is it that liberals are on the wrong side of everything?

Otherwise they wouldn't be Liberals.

And we all know that the word "liberal" is really a code word anyway.

Are you kidding? Again, a liberal. Why is it that liberals are on the wrong side of everything?

Can you actually debate instead of saying. "LIBERALS ARE STUPID!"

Do you have anything to actually debate here? Or are you just trolling? If he is on the "wrong side" then do us a favor and SHOW how he is on the "wrong side". One liners are only good at comedy shows. And you definitely are not funny enough to be a comedian.

And sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. The manager's comments were pretty darn clear to me. What do you think they edited out? The part where they said here is X$, please just read your lines from the teleprompter

Well there were some claims in I believe the ACORN video that the "pimp" was dressed in normal clothes and claimed to be trying to "rescue" underage prostitutes.

IF TRUE, the comments of the employees might be taken in a different light, than if those employees were helping someone dressed like a cliche pimp trying to facilitate his underage prostitute operation.

This guy is NOT a hero. If he was, he would have made ALL his data available. Including the times he was thrown out of PP offices and reported to the authorities. Then we would have some idea if this was endemic to PP's operation, or just an isolated or rare incident.

Of course the NeoKhan agenda isn't interested in presenting objective information for the people to base their opinions on.

That is anathema to propagandists. "Persuasion" requires a singular perspective in order to be effective. Objectivity is what the PR industry is in the business of preventing.
