I'm not too sure about that claim. Can you point us to the polling or study that you are citing? One of the oddities in this debate is that going back a year ago most people were for health care reform. Not a nationalized health care system. Reform! This bill does not appear to do much in the way of reform, so I am wondering if that is what you are talking about? The bill does not do much for reform so it could be argued that is what "many" people were talking about? Either way without some sort of source to look at, that supports your claim, it is just speculation on both our parts. No, it is true. It was true in Novemeber. On this issue, many who disliked the reform disliked it because it didn't go far enough and not that it did too much.
I knew that joke was going to get made when I posted that comment. I think it depends on where the national mood is at when it comes across his desk. Becuase you know, he might want to get re-elected.Obummer actually considering the desire of the American people? Don't hold your breath.
Those matters can still be addressed down the line. It is not as if this bill is the end all be all on the whole matter of health care reform and matters like those won't get addressed ever. I see a lot people acting as if that is the case, not saying you are, just that I see a lot of that going on.The bill isn't perfect but if it repeals all the way I feel bad for children with preexisting conditions and people who get cancer and can't get health insurance.
