Health Care Reform Repeal Passes House

Wow, just wow, lefties. Nothing like being blatent about your lack of care for the country and your sole desire to run Washington. I think zero respect has become negative respect for the left.

He tried to stick to a campaign promise. I personally didn't use any of the above phrases, but what are we supposed to say? Obama did this because he believed that healthcare reform was actually for the good of the country? Whether or not that's true, it's not like any of the rest of you would actually believe that. And the ridicule would just continue.
 
Lets's just see how much pressure the GOP can actually put on Harry Reid to bring this up for vote first.

I've said MANY true things on this forum, backed up by multiple links to various sources... only to have liberal leaning posters tell me I am doing nothing but apouting 'talking points'. Not really fair when either side does it.

I don't disagree. I've never understood the talking point dodge at all. If something is true, it's true.

No, it is true. It was true in Novemeber. On this issue, many who disliked the reform disliked it because it didn't go far enough and not that it did too much.

That's why they voted the Dems out and the Reps in? Because the Reps were going to go farther with the healthcare bill?

The president is saying he will veto it, we will see. He might end up sticking his finger in the air and testing the wind before he actually does that though. As I understand matters there are now 26 states fighting this bill (half the country) and numerous constitituional challenges to it. Add to that the fact that tomorrow the republicans will start going about other methods of defunding and defeating the bill. I think the chances that this bill will actually survive and be enacted as intended are pretty slim. With or without Obama's threatened veto. The president may yet decide that it is not in his best interest to veto the bill owing to public sentiment.

Obummer actually considering the desire of the American people? Don't hold your breath.
 
The bill isn't perfect but if it repeals all the way I feel bad for children with preexisting conditions and people who get cancer and can't get health insurance.

They should repeal it and replace it with reforms from both sides. The Republicans should implement their cost cutting measures and allow insurance companies to sell accross state lines. The Democrats should write in a public option for anyone that choses it. Both sides win along with every economic class of Americans, especially the poor who cannot afford health insurance.

I think he just might consider his desire to serve a second term, or at least serve his one term and leave out looking like an asshole and not a total asshole.

Oh, sorry. Didn't see the "?" and it didn't make sense in the statement. I don't think the Republicans gaining so many seats was about the health care bill. I think it was about the economy in general.

I don't think it was just about healthcare, but it damn sure didn't help the Dems's cause.

I'm seeing this song-n-dance from Leftists, claiming that the reason the Dems were voted out, is because the Dems weren't Liberal enough. Sorry, but I ain't buyin' it.
