Well the new Congress is sworn in today. What do you think the first thing the House under Boehner will do? How much do you expect Congress to get done and what do you want to see them to get done? How much more much vacation time will President Obama get since we now have a divided Congress?

Washington (CNN) -- The 112th Congress officially convened Wednesday as Republicans prepared to officially take charge of the House of Representatives for the first time in four years and dramatically change Washington's political landscape.
Democrats will maintain control of the Senate, but with a smaller majority.

The change likely presages a stark ideological conflict with President Barack Obama, who is preparing to defend his legislative accomplishments of the past two years and position himself for a re-election campaign in 2012.

I can understand their stint about immediately attempting to repeal Health Care Reform (Even though its ultimately pointless, makes for good PR though).

But if their first order of business is to begin investigating the Obama administration, then **** em. That's sure gonna put Americans back to work.

Boehner is speaking live right now on C-Span. God, I hope he doesn't cry. I'm sick of people making fun of him.

Stop acting so scared, you won't be investigated....I don't think.

If they're busy investigating Obama, that less time they can spend passing job killing legislation.

Then maybe he shouldnt cry like a ***** on national TV. Last time I checked no one got married nor did anyone die.....yet.

On the topic at hand, who knows what the **** will happen but dont expect much in scaling down the state

Well I imagine they would have to try and do something to make it look like they will be scaling down the state since that was the main talking point of the election. If not, I would not be surprised to see a shift back towards the center.

Jet,

In regards to investigations, IF they happen I hope they're in line with what I heard one new Representitive talking about. Essentially, investigating agencies and processes to search for waste and/or fraud and remove it...not necessarily investigations into specific individuals in the white house trying to find illegal activity.

Anyone NOT in favor of investigations like this should just go away.

Why should there be an investigation at all? All you have to do is go to the Constitution and ask the following question

"Is this (agency, department, law, etc) legal under the Constitution

Because even constitutional agencys, departments, laws, etc can still have waste, fraud, or misuse of funds.
