The Tea Party already got that ball rolling.
At one time i agreed with you, but they're destined to fail for two big reasons. a) they're not talking about cutting defense budget. any reasonable approach at ending government corruption, government debt, and a global government, must include a cut in defense spending. b) they're only pulling in conservatives. many people outside the tea party would easily agree with them if they'd only start representing the people, and the people aren't all conservatives. if the tea party started with a campaign finance amendment to the constitution that made the most important relationship to congressmen between themselves and their constituents rather than the donors, so many more people would join them and make them successful.
until these things happen the tea party is doomed to failure for the same reason the '06 republicans were. a few gimicks about reading the constitution and failing to repeal health insurance reform isn't what i (and i suspect you) want.
