The men wanted to "kill as many people as possible" at the Copenhagen offices of Jyllands-Posten, officials said.

Denmark's Justice Minister Lars Barfoed said it was the country's most serious terrorist plot.

Four suspects - including three Swedes - were held in Denmark, and the fifth was detained in Sweden, police said.

The four held in Denmark were picked up in raids in Greve and Herlev, near Copenhagen, where police found an automatic weapon, a silencer and live ammunition, according to Denmark's security agency, Pet.

The agency's chief, Jakob Scharf, said the four held in Denmark had been planning to enter the building housing the Jyllands-Posten and "kill as many of the people present as possible".

He said an "imminent terror attack" had been foiled and described some of the suspects as "militant Islamists".

Mr Barfoed said in a statement that the plot was "outrageous" and described it as "the most serious attempt at terror so far in Denmark".

Couple that with 12 Somali's arrested in the Netherlands on Dec 25th.
Add the other 12 arrested in the UK on Dec 20th for terrorist plots

The targets seem to be coming more from inside the country than outside. I'm also seeing (possibly) a trend to attack Europe more and more. I didn't include the successful bombing in Sweden over this same cartoon issue from 2005. The West may not be at war with Islam, but a certain portion of Islam sure is at war with us.

BAh...no worries...its not ALL of them...just some of them...like...maybe 1/5th of a billion or so people...if that...so...not like its a huge deal...

Its a supersecret handshake headcount with all the rabid pukes in this country, Europe, and all the fundamentalist states in the Middle East. They just started counting off...but since it cant be confirmed they agreed to settle on just 1/5th of the total muslim population...more than 5, less than a billion.

Now...if you are feeling all kinds of bored, go ahead and look up all the populations in the fundamentalist countries. And all the extremist mosques in...say...England...and Denmark...etc...

'Al Qaeda' does not comprise all of the extremist fundamentalists throughout the world...surely you know that...

So the entire population of places like Saudi Arabia count towards your mythical Muslim extremist figure? Do I really need to point out how asinine that reasoning is? Most credible sources put Muslim extremists at less than a 0.01 PERCENT of the entire Muslim population (1.5 billion people).

Your figure is just ridiculous and cannot be taken to hold any truth.

Do you HONESTLY believe that the final tally of radicals Islamists is 10,000?

I've been there. I'm the first to say it isnt ALL Islam. But anyone that doesnt think it is a whole lot more than 'a few' is either deluded or lying.

The Ven Diagram is about Al Qaeda. Almost all of the attacks in the past 4-5 years have been linked directly to Al Qaeda. I don't care if they hate us. I do care if they try to blow us up.

I'd like to see someone prove, however, that there is widespread Islamic involving in these bombings. There isn't, from what I've seen/read.

Come on...dont make me (again) post video after video of the extreme islamists (NOT AlQaeda) in Afghanistan, England, Germany, The PI, the beatings of women, the shooting of a few, the beheading of a few...all from around the world...

I dont know the exact number. I really dont. I think people are foolish if they think they do. I think its a HELL of a lot more than 10,000...and a hell of a lot less than a billion. I do know that those extremist bastards seem to keep popping up everywhere.

Hundreds...daily...for a few decades. In the middle east and throughout the world. Killing muslims and non-muslims alike. Killing muslims just because they arent the right sect of muslim. Killing vacationers. Killing schoolchildren. Killing people in souks and markets. Globally.

Its not that there is a finite number...their radical Imams are breeding them. The latest reports in the UK news (as discussed here a week ago) is showing that a majority of the schools and msoques are now being led my radicals. Are they ALL looking to blow **** up? No, but a significant number are. Are they sympathetic to their cause even if they arent going to blow **** up? You dont think so?

Hundreds...occuring at least daily around the globe...my bad...incorrect grammar...but not incorrect intent. There have been more than just 'hundreds' of attacks. They do indeed occur daily.

(And thats not including the ones they stop)

How many Hanbali Muslims are there in the world? They are the Wahhabis and Salafists. All of them want blood from what I can tell.
