DADT cloture passes

Please, don't make ridiculous comments. You know exactly what I meant.

But on the off chance that you're retarded I will explain myself further. For instance, I believe that homosexuality is immoral and wrong. I also have gay neighbors. But I have never broached the topic of homosexuality to them, told them that they are going to go to hell for their lifestyle, or things like that. Whenever I deal with with them or speak with them, I am polite and courteous.

That is tolerance.

actually you just proved that YOU maybe retarded. Ill explain it slow to you. Thats fine how you treat your neighbors and all but getting rid off DADT isnt intolerance genius, if you choose to be a bigot you STILL get to be one, that doesnt change and thats your right LMAO

but having it in the armed forces IS discrimination so they got rid of that but YOU still get to preach, teach think believe what YOU want

see, perfect tolerance, not having tolerance whould be to NOT allow you to continue being a bigot, we just made sure the armed forces doesnt do it anymore you are still free too LMAO

see before we were being intolerant of one group now we arent, gays get their way and you still get yours thats PURE tolerance, thanks for playing :laughat:

of course though we can go back to you being dramatic and saying thats not actually what happened LMAO

tell me that cool part about whos the retard again mr tolerant :2rofll:

It's not a ridiculous comment. It's a valid rebuttal to moral relativism, which has been used to excuse far too many crimes.

excactly
more common sense, you're on a roll tonight ;)

Well, I have to admit I was wrong. I really didn't think this would go anywhere in the senate.

My only real concern now is that gay activists will start suing the military over everything under the sun.

QFT! Thank God for a return to true American exceptionalism. I'm glad to see an end to this shameful chapter of America's history altogether, but I'll be even gladder when we finally end all institutionalized discrimination against homosexuals altogether.

American exceptionalism? Huh? Other countries have done this ages ago!!!

Endgame: DADT cloture vote passes, 63-33; Update: Obama cheers « Hot Air

The vote on the bill itself will come at 3 p.m., but that’s a formality. The roll: Six Republicans — Brown, Collins, Kirk(!), Murkowski, Snowe, and Voinovich — joined 57 Democrats to push it through.

DADT is soon to be dead. Chalk one up for the good guys!....for America and American values. America has sent a message today to the bigots of this country that they will not be tolerated.

And, that's really what it's all about. Why am I not surprised to see that comment in the OP of the, "DADT is dead", thread.

Cross your fingers and hope that this works, because it can be re-instated in a heart beat. Another public opinion poll, another Pentagon study, both with opposite results of recent polls and studies. So, let us hope that this doesn't boil to to, "in yo' face, you ****in' bigots". If it's not, then this will turn out to be the worst thing that ever happened to gay service members.

I hope it goes off without a hitch and we maintain the finest military force in history, that we've had for nearly 235 years.

Who? I'm interested to look into how it's working out for them and what thier laws are like.

It shouldn't be a victory for anybody, left or right. It should be a gay victory... if it (DODT) were actually worth the trouble of repealing.

It should be a victory for our armed forces. Anything else and it was a waste of time.

Japan has it's own military?

Once again Navy showed us how bankrupt that bank of his is.....

This is a victory for freedom and justice.

I guess that means you're going to be pushing to lift the ban on memberships in extremist hate groups? It's all about, "freedom", right?

Japanese are weird too, so they may not be the best country to use as an example.

Not to mention that Japan allowed gays to serve in it's military during WW2. How'd that turn out for them?

On the list of issues they had in WW2, I don't think that was a significant one.

Is that true about them allowing gays to serve in WW2? Had never heard that before.

Considering how small their country is, I'd say they did pretty well.

So homosexuals are completey responsible for Japan losing WW2? And there were not gay men landing on the beaches of Normandy or Iwo Jima?

They conquered a significant portion of SE Asia and fought off a far more powerful nation for years. I'd say they did pretty well, considering.

I could extrapolate your post to assume you meant gays in the military caused Japan to lose WW2, but I don't think in absolutes like that, so I'll assume you meant something else by your statement.

Nice. Thanks for the reply.
So of those, who allows discrimination lawsuits to be brought against the military?

Considering how small their country is, I'd say they did pretty well.

Except, they lost...LOL!!!

No points for 2nd place and no A's for effort.

Because they allowed gays to serve? Or because of other factors?

Why don't you dig up that info and get back with us?
