Obama warns of new 'Sputnik moment' for United States

So!!!! Second part of question. (I just made that up. Ha.)

What could he come up with?

Artificial Intelligence? What?

You can't think of a single part of American life, industry, etc which could use some innovation?

No he didn't, which I don't hold the two on the same footing.

Apparently Obama does, which is why he invoked Kennedy.

Simply saying something non-specific is one thing, and in this case something I like, however its still only something non-specific. I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm simply saying its a good idea to fund innovation into new technologies.

I think so, too. Who isn't for "innovation"? But you need a goal. Until you have that, you've got squat. Obama's got squat. It was a pointless, empty speech.

I think you're being biased, but either way you're right so far its nothing.

Everyone's biased. But I'm not wrong, as you said.

Innovation is good. Obama's lack of action is not. Granted, no one is making it easy for him, and he should have spent two years telling the republican minority to suck it, but seriously. The dude needs to do stuff, and do it publicly. I've read that "what has Obama done for us" website, and it was all new news to my ears. He's done a lot of good, and done what he can to try and solve the economic crisis. But what's needed are results. A commitment to innovation... that's something we're supposed to have all the time. We need more than commitment, we need results.

That was easy, wasn't it?

How 'bout some suggestions....something as big as our space program, Oh Wise One. ;-)
