Metro police said a pizza delivery driver shot and killed a man who attempted to rob him Friday night.

That's when the driver allegedly pulled out his own gun and shot one of the suspects. The suspect died on the scene.

Police said the driver had a valid gun carry permit, and they believe the shooting was in self-defense.

Sorry the guy had to go through it, but he's alive, is healthy and we have one less scumbag to worry about.

Now, do you think his actions would deter a few would be pizza robbers in his community in the future?

He should have kicked him in the balls before he killed him.

You want what?

This should be played up because it's a deterrent. When the bad Guys don't know who packing they're less likely to commit crimes.

This was a righteous shooting.

Trouble is much of the media will give this type of story no more the a tiny mention at most, because they are in favor of the gun grabbers, and prefer to report guns used by the bad guys.

I just hope the Driver has his head on straight and is able to deal with this and keeps it in the proper perspective.

Am glad that this perp is DRT (dead right there) aas Boortz would say. However, all of the larger pizza companies, (Dominoes, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns) have strick rules abut armed delivery people. While that might not stop someone from carrying, once found out, they are fired. The net result of not wanting to lose your job should an employee find out you have a weapon is that far less folks with these companies carry.

These idiot thieves did not know that, and instead targeted a Mom and Pop type. Shame he couldn't blast all three.

Honestly the thieves are retarded. 17 dollars isn't worth it and one of them died because of their stupidity.

Nice shooting!

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

Fight Crime

SHOOT BACK

SHOOT BACK

If everyone were required to carry a gun, there would first be a rash of killings, and then everyone would get really ****ing polite.

Can't remember where I heard that.

A wise man I'm sure...

I'm not sorry he had to go through with it, and he shouldn't be sorry either, but proud. There is one less scumbag on the streets. If I could, I would give that driver a medal. He deserves it.

No, because then it wouldn't have been self-defense, I think...

The ball-kicking would have, but killing after disabling the criminal...I dunno.

Killing is not something to be proud of, even when it's a criminal.
It's also not deserving of a medal. He was defending himself, and rightly so, but that's hardly something extraordinary.

1. This is why I'll carry onto your property against your consent; the trick is not letting you find out. My personal security is more important than your peranoia.

2. I bet the guy got fired for violating the pizza parler's no-weapons-at-work policy.

Resisting armed criminals is so colossally stupid that I can't cheer this guy on.

You wait until they run away, then shoot them in the back.

If he did that, I'd say to give him a medal.

Carrying guns on the job...

This is just getting wierder and wierder...

I was under the impression that the pizza shop he worked for didn't have that policy.

At any rate, if I were a pizza delivery guy, I would probably carry a weapon in the more dangerous neighborhoods, regardless of policy - I'd rather be alive than have a job, any day.
