Hillary Clinton, Julian Assange said, "should resign." Speaking over Skype from an undisclosed location on Tuesday, the WikiLeaks founder was replying to a question by TIME managing editor Richard Stengel over the diplomatic-cable dump that Assange's organization loosed on the world this past weekend. Stengel had said the U.S. Secretary of State was looking like "the fall guy" in the ensuing controversy, and had asked whether her firing or resignation was an outcome that Assange wanted. "I don't think it would make much of a difference either way," Assange said. "But she should resign if it can be shown that she was responsible for ordering U.S. diplomatic figures to engage in espionage in the United Nations, in violation of the international covenants to which the U.S. has signed up. Yes, she should resign over that."

Well, does this guy have some huge balls on him or what? Plus in saying that he is a wuss at that, 'Undisclosed' location.....pfft.

Uh, of course he's at an undisclosed location. Interpol wants him, the U.S. wants him, and he is pretty much hated worldwide right now by all governments.

It's funny how criminals hide from the law. To me that does make him a wuss.

In terms of the rape allegation, yes he is skirting the law. Aside from that, no law has been broken.

The rape charge is a pretty serious charge, and hiding out from it is the act of a coward.

In its latest document dump, WikiLeaks, the international publishing service for whistle-blowers, has released a trove of US diplomatic cables that reveal communications between American and foreign officials. Most of the documents were not intended for public view. In order to steer clear of laws protecting classified information, WikiLeaks distributes its servers across Sweden, Belgium, Iceland and America. In this way, Julian Assange, the organisation's founder, enjoys the protection of several liberal democracies, but is not accountable to any of them. Should he be? In America there have been calls to prosecute Mr Assange under the Espionage Act, which prohibits the release of information that interferes with American military operations or helps its enemies.

So yes he has broken laws in several countries.

Surprisingly, I kind of like the way Hillary has been Sec State. I think her performance has far surpassed her work as a senator. Promoting data mining has to stop though. Hillary probably already has Assange's credit card number. Anyway, Assange needs to be hung by his nuts.

Turning himself into the authorities would be a detriment to his cause. A dissident dodging arrest is not cowardice, but a necessary part of continuing one's work. Not to mention there are people from Beijing to D.C. that would love to see him with a bullet in his head.

I have been listening to so-called experts for days claiming that Assange is protected by our first amendment, and the Supreme Court has ruled that Reporters cannot be charged for releasing classified materials as long as they are not the ones who stole them in the first place.

Okay fine. But there are limits on the First Amendment, like you can't yell fire in a crowded theater.

Why? Because it puts lives at risk.

If the release of this information puts lives at risk as has been claimed then this son of a bitch should be charged with a crime.

But before that he needs to be found and tried for the rape charge and once found guilty given the stump treatment.

The stump treatment requires two 20 penny nails a tree stump a nude man convicted of rape or child molestation.

The guilty party is sat down on the stump at which point the nails are driven through his huevos. He is then asked if it hurts and when he screams yes, he's pushed over backwards.

Then if he's still around go after the other charges.

What cause was he supporting when he (allegedly) raped the woman?

Including his alleged rape victim. :prof

The guy is wanted on charges of rape. It's cowardly to hide from the law when you are going to be prosecuted for violating someone's body. If he wants to clear his name and be ruled innocent he shouldn't be hiding from the law. Unless of course he is guilty or fears being prosecuted for other laws that he did break when it comes to his release of classified information from many nations.

If the worst thing that Assange has on Hillary Clinton in 300,000 pages of documents is that she told some low-level grunt to steal Ban Ki-Moon's credit cards, I think she comes off looking pretty good from this data dump.

Frankly I assumed that the State Department (both under the Bush Administration and the Obama Administration) was involved in a lot more shady stuff than it appears they actually were.

The truth is often really really boring.

You are assuming the charges have any legitimacy and are not just an act of subterfuge. It is convenient that they only emerged after the first major leak.

Apparently...and thats apparently why Interpol would like to invite him in for a chat...

The word "allegedly" must have went over your head.

Have you ever noticed how famous people tend to have their past come back to haunt them when they become famous. That is what this feels like. I do not know if he is guilty or not, that is why we have courts. I do know it is a serious charge and needs to be taken seriously.

Well yeah, but you are pretty clean.

This is true. I has no convictions.

They had to acquit!

It's not woman it's women and one thing has nothing to do with the other. I think the penalty for rape is almost always too light, knowing what devistation it can cause.

The point I was trying to make is that the whole idea of subterfuge is to net someone for some other reason than the one being given. Like, for instance, throwing out a few bogus sex charges in order to get someone who you are actually targeting for running a whistleblower site.

Assange doesn’t care. He’s a man who likes to watch the world burn and said as much on his blog: “[C]ast blessings on the profits and prophets of truth, on the liberators and martyrs of truth, on the Voltaires, Galileos, and Principias of truth, on the Gutenburgs, Marconis and Internets of truth, on those serial killers of delusion, those brutal, driven and obsessed miners of reality, smashing, smashing, smashing every rotten edifice until all is ruins and the seeds of the new.”

Michael Totten » An Engine of Chaos

Just imagine that D-Day is only weeks away.

Months of secrecy and disinformation have succeeded in confusing the Germans about when or where the inevitable invasion will come.

Then an anarchist activist, insisting that in a democracy everyone has the right to know everything, publishes the secret plans for Operation Overlord.

Inconceivable then, but today that is precisely what WikiLeaks and its founder, Julian Assange, would do in a similar situation.

Is Wikileaks boss Julian Assange a force for good or chaos? | Mail Online

Then there are his ties to others:

Julian Assange’s attorney is Mark Stevens, who does work for George Soros and OSI. The founder of Wikileaks established funding through OSI aka George Soros.

Is there possibly a larger agenda to the release of this information?

This is a quote, “Some governments and corporations angered by the site's publications have already sued WikiLeaks or blocked access to it, and the group fears that its money and infrastructure could be targeted further, founder Julian Assange said in an interview in London shortly after publishing 76,000 classified U.S. documents about the war in Afghanistan in July. The move sparked international controversy and put WikiLeaks in the spotlight. In response, the site has established a complex system for collecting and disbursing its donations to obscure their origin and use, Mr. Assange said. Anchoring the system is a foundation in Germany established in memory of a computer hacker who died in 2001.WikiLeaks's financial stability has waxed and waned during its short history. The site shut down briefly late last year, citing a lack of funds, but Mr. Assange said the group has raised about $1 million since the start of 2010. WikiLeaks's lack of financial transparency stands in contrast to the total transparency it seeks from governments and corporations.

Talk about a lame conspiracy theory. Wikileaks does not have nearly enough money or protection in order for it to have anything to do with Soros. That someone who has done work for a Soros organization also does work for Assange is a pretty meaningless connection.
