Teen girl arrested for burning Koran

No, she was arrested because she burned the Koran.

If she hadn't elected to burn the Koran she wouldn't have been arrested.

The law in question is what she was charged with violating, but it's not the law's fault that she broke it.

No, she was arrested because she burned the Koran.

Which is under their hate speech laws.

If she hadn't elected to burn the Koran she wouldn't have been arrested.

So people should abide by unjust laws? So it was alright to arrest gays in the past because they elected to engage in homosexual behavior?

In the US such a law would be unconstitutional. If she was in the US she would be under no obligation to follow such a blatantly unconstitutional law.

Anyone else see the part where it said she did it at school? Since when have you been allowed to burn any books at school or for that matter been allowed to instigate stuff against fellow students?

Would a school ever allow a student to wear a KKK or nazi outfit? No, and for the same reason. Even though you are perfectly allowed to the school has rights to control its student body while on campus to ensure the preservation of a decent learning environment.

I don't have a problem with civil disobedience. I simply refuse to get all freaked out because someone intentionally broke the law, knowing that they were going to get busted for it, and then -- surprise surprise -- got busted for it.

So what? How many times have Europeans who had the audacity to comment on goings-on in the United States been told to STFU simply because they're not American?

Would she not have been arrested if she did this at home?

Since when have you been allowed to burn any books at school or for that matter been allowed to instigate stuff against fellow students?

If she burned books at school then that would call for suspension and possibly charged with arson and the destruction of school property assuming the Koran belonged to the school.

Would a school ever allow a student to wear a KKK or nazi outfit?

Would a student be arrested for wearing a KKK or nazi uniform in school? Maybe in eurotrash countries that do not value free speech, but not here in the US.

How many times have many of us regardless of what country we from commented on how someone was stoned to death, exiled or some other issue from some other country?

She's black??

Kaffir (racial term)

The word kaffir, sometimes spelled kaffer or kafir, is an offensive term for a black person, most common in South Africa and other African countries. Generally considered a racial or ethnic slur in modern usage, it was previously a neutral term for black southern African people.

The original meaning of the word is 'heathen', 'unbeliever' or 'infidel', from the Arabic 'kafir' and is still being used with this meaning by Muslims

Unfortunately, what happened to this young girl, and the others who were arrested for exercising their right to free speech, is not exclusive to Europe.

Molly Norris, a Seattle cartoonist, has been forced to change her name and go into hiding because of her suggestion of having an "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day". This idea was the result of Muslims issuing a fatwah against the South Park cartoonists. They acquiesced to the Muslims as well.

In Canada we had a journalist brought to trial for reprinting the Danish (and Muslim) Mohammed cartoons, and another journalist and authour taken to court for simply quoting radical Muslims.

While the behaviour of the British judicial system stinks, the fact is that throughout the Western democracies we are all showing some cowardice where Muslims are concerned, and they know it.

You're seriously bringing up public execution in a thread about a teenager who got arrested for burning a book?

Really?

Oh, brother.

If we're gonna tell the Urpeenz to STFU when they disagree with things we do differently, we need to STFU when the reverse is true, that's all.

This girl needs to be made an example of. Maybe a flogging in the public square. How dare this blaphemous kaffir burn the holy quran.

Don't be so ridiculous, flogging.

She should be stoned instead duh

Kaffir is a offensive term for Blacks? News to me.
Let me add that to the list then.

Again you said
"So what? How many times have Europeans who had the audacity to comment on goings-on in the United States been told to STFU simply because they're not American?". So it should not matter what is going on in some other country.

I know, right? I mean, I know Allah approves of SgtRock's newfound faith, but he's going about it all wrong.

It's always the new converts to Islam who are a little :screwy
He has what I call revert syndrome. He is attempting to take it all at once leading him to be a bit crazy

Flogging comes in after 6 years of being a Muslim.

Stoning is well just so stone age. The comfy chair should be her punishment!

Right. Europeans. Not "some other country," and certainly not the sort of place where they people stoned to death.

Europeans are civilized, even if we disagree with their interpretation of freedom.

As such, if we're going to tell them to STFU about our business, we should STFU about theirs.

For someone who decends from Africa, there sure is a buncha **** you don't know.

Personally, I think we shouldn't tell them to STFU, and they shouldn't tell us to STFU...

I mean, who do we think we are, telling them what to do?

Wait a tick...

For someone who decends from Africa, there sure is a buncha **** you don't know.

Have you seen the size of the place?

Why would someone from Somalia be familiar with a term that is most commonly used by whites on the southern end of the continent?

Isn't that a bit like expecting your average resident of Moscow to know what particular Chinese words are offensive to residents of Beijing?

Africa's a frigging continent, not a state.

For someone who decends from Africa, there sure is a buncha **** you don't know.

Perhaps you do not truly understand the size of Africa.

Here, let me help you out

Never forget that injustice, and tyranny are two of the reasons our Founding Fathers told King George kiss off.

I have a great respect for the English people on the whole but they tolerate way too much BS politically correct nonsense especially when it comes to anything Muslim.

They most likely would not have said a word had she burned a stack of Bibles.

Hell back in May a report came out that our Military threw burned, confiscated Bibles that were printed in two most Afghan languages because they were afraid they would be used to try to convert Afghans, and there was not even a single minor flap over that from what I saw.

I wonder f they are going to observe Sharia Law and have her stoned to death. Bastards.

I'm from Louisiana and I know what it means...:rofl

Political Correctness is really all this boils down to.

So?
I don't make it a habit to google and keep up to date on what is the new 'in' word to insult Black people with

Every single human being is descended from Africa.

Talk about some stuff you didn't know.
