Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has responded to criticism surrounding a recent gaffe when she said the United States must "stand with our North Korean allies" by listing some of President Obama's misstatements.
Palin made the mistake on conservative host Glenn Beck's radio program. Beck corrected Palin's mistake moments later and Palin went on to identify South Korea correctly. But the gaffe fueled a wave of criticism from Palin's detractors. In response, Palin took to her Facebook page and cited a number of President Obama's gaffes.

People make mistakes. No biggie. Or is she just a bit of an airhead?
You decide.
For me this fits right in with the rest of what I heard from her. BUT it doesnt mean she is a moron. Just a bit absent-minded at times.

Well, here's the thing. The bottom line for me is that all of the gaffe finger pointing is childish from both sides. However, say what you want about Obama or even other politicians... you don't really see them lowering themselves to that level. Sure, people have given Sarah Palin tons of ****, but it's typically the media. Who exactly is she firing back at with this? Does she think that listing Obama gaffes is going to somehow strike a blow to the media that gave her crap for her gaffe? She's kind of sinking to a bad and petty level if she is considering a serious run for office.

Yes by all means repeat what you hear and believe what you are told because otherwise you might be forced to learn for yourself, and that requires reading and thought, and God knows that's right out.

This is no big deal but to those who fear an intelligent attractive Republican woman who can think for herself, she represents a serious threat to Obama's legion of blindly obedient worshipers.

When is a Liberal going to come up with something of substance that requires more then the usual name calling and personal attacks based on nothing more than fear and ignorance.

I'm pretty sure her point is that the media runs with her gaffes but lets Obama off the hook with his. It would never have been an issue at all if her North Korea comment would have been ignored by everyone. But it wasn't. And as it wasn't, why shouldn't she comment on what she thinks is an unfair double standard?

I think your criticisms are more correctly directed toward those who made it an issue for her to comment upon.

I have been involved countless discussions about Palin on many different websites. Based on my experience I suggest the answer to your questions is a simple one: because you Palin lovers ignore every single thing of substance that is said about her and find a way to excuse the most obviously stupid behaviors and statements that come from those lipstick red lips.

Also has been pointed out on other threads in which individuals have attacked Palin, I find it absolutely amazing that so many are afraid of this "airhead" yet these same people voted for an empty suit whose results are a disaster. Makes total sense to me.

You have to be ****ing kidding me. How many times have I hear the "57 states" gaffe? Do a quick google and you'll get 28 million hits.

And FWIW, I don't give a rat's behind about Palin's latest brain fart, nor any of Obama's or Biden's. Besides a possible chuckle, I get nothing else out of it. People misspeak all of the time and it's not a reflection of their intelligence.

Obama said there were 57 states...

Tit for tat.

As the article points out, it was "Palin detractors", which means pundits and op-ed writers and bloggers. In other words, not exactly mainstream media. I had not heard from the mainstream media anything about Palin's good until this thread.

Any one who makes a big deal when some one stumbles like this in a live interview is not some one to take seriously. Of course, now Palin fit's into that category and put herself there.

What level of delusion applies to a nonentity who equates her stupidity with gaffes by the elected President of her country?

What kind of person continues to support the incompetence of a President who lacked the experience for the job and is in over his head as the results show?

I agree
I found this really funny. Thanks Sarah. Where was media, if for nothing more than a laugh? I keep up with the news yet I never heard this.

A Google search of "Palin 'north korea' " seems to indicate otherwise.

She'd be nothing if the press didn't make her into something.

Your opinion based on denial of basic statistics does not support your position. Someone who throws temper tantrums at people who request him to actually prove his arguments is hardly a good source of whether or not a president has or does not have the experience.

Furthermore, you like everyone else, run like cowards when asked to actually provide solutions to leverage recessions. In that aspect, yes, he is in over his head. But so has every leader who has caused or inherited such recessions. Did Chuan Leekpai have any idea how to fix the Asian Financial Crisis when it hit Thailand?

You blame Obama and then refuse to look at history or offer anything yourself.

Political attacks by facebook.

Sigh.

The thing is that Palin wants to be taken seriously as a candidate for office. The problem is when she opens her mouth, out comes idiocy and displays of massive ignorance. Furthermore the reverance many people have for Palin magnifies every ****up she produces. And unlike other candidates, who actually listen and follow their handlers, Palin goes rouge, ****s up and then blames someone else. The Media loves a train wreck and what's better then a former VP candidate making dumb **** statements while pondering a campaign for President in 2012?

As usual, back with the personal attacks. I am scared to death of you and always run when I see you. If you are married then your spouse should have done the same thing. I blame Obama for the results he generated and for being the most inexperienced individual ever to hold that office. He managed nothing and the results show it. Since he took office 4 million more Americans are unemployed, he has put Bush spending on steroids adding 3 trillion to the debt, and he has the worst record of job creation on record having a net job loss in 2 years. Here are the sites, do some research. We had a recession that NBER states ended in June 2009 yet every month of 2010 the unemployment number is higher than it was in 2009 on a month to month basis.

Now your turn to run.

On the positive side he has played a lot of golf, taken a lot of vacations, spent a lot of taxpayer money. Never in his life has he had to work this hard.

Not really, no. Lot of blogs, a lack of mainstream coverage.

Don't laugh. It's worked for her so far. It even got them to take the "death panels" out of the health care bill. Remember? The ones that weren't there?

I'm just saying what many people have found out. You went ballistic whenever anyone wanted you to actually prove your arguments. You outright stated you will not use linear regression. Someone who outright says they will not use the sole way of proving their arguments is clearly not interested in honest debate.

I blame Obama for the results he generated and for being the most inexperienced individual ever to hold that office.

Actually you blame him for everything because you're a partisan hack.

He managed nothing and the results show it.

Like increased GDP. 1.1 million new private sector jobs. Winding down of Iraq. GM's IPO. Yeah. Nothing.

Since he took office 4 million more Americans are unemployed

Which is expected since he didn't use one of the few tools to solve a financial/leverage recession. I bet you have no idea what tool that is.

he has put Bush spending on steroids adding 3 trillion to the debt, and he has the worst record of job creation on record having a net job loss in 2 years.

Care to compare that to another president who had a massive financial/leverage recession during his presidency? No you won't. Because historical statistic perspective is not something you want to do as it is requires honesty.

Woot. More raw aggregate data showing...nothing to support your claims. How about...oh never mind. I know you refuse to use linear regression despite it being the only way to prove your arguments.

Thanks again for showing I'm right. You won't include WHY this recession is different and you won't offer any solutions.
