Where are you from?
I live in California. That makes me Mexican.

LOL, and an illegal one at that!
Funny.
Basically global war is inevitable to happen.....no matter what lights the fuse.
It is mathmatically better for the U.S. to be in a global war now instead of a few years from now....especially with it being imminent for China to be the most powerful country eventually.
The world is at a tipping point in so many issues that it truly is inevitable for a total global conflict.
China will very likely back N Korea in a conflict.....and in turn Russia will likely back China
If America waits much longer for the imminent global conflict then the less chance of America's survival.
Anyone with an I.Q. high enough can see the clear and distinct pattern and steps leading up to a total global war....
I hate to agree with you but I think perhaps your are correct. History does repeat it's self time after time with us human species who fail to learn from our past mistakes.Basically global war is inevitable to happen.....no matter what lights the fuse.

This is the kind of provocation North Korea has often carried out when its pressure/blackmail/extortion tactics don't yield it the desired benefits. In the wake of this act of naked aggression, it is imperative that South Korea, the U.S. and other countries refrain from increasing assistance to North Korea. Until the North Korean regime begins to understand that neither extortion efforts nor military aggression will produce benefits, it will not likely change its behavior.
I am all for diplomacy and peace, but South Korea needs to to stop letting the north push them around. It's time for the south and Japan to use full military action. Diplomacy is NOT working and the attacks against South Korea get worse every time.
Japan doesn't have enough combat power to launch an offensive.
Not to mention, the Koreans and the Japanese hate each other's guts and livers.
Hate is a strong word. They don't hate each other.
They have many differences but what they both have in common is opposition to the North Korean regime. Mainstream media has already reported that the Japanese have but their troops on high alert.
Your partisan "shrillness" is exposed by not quoting the first person to bring it up.... Lord Tammerlain
They know when to push. Clinton... now Carter II. When you have a weakling and apologist as president, it invites these scenarios.
.
The question is, what is China trying to accomplish with this latest event?
The threads may get merged and you're back to whether Obama fired on South Korea to start today's events or whether it was George Bush who killed North Korean babies and provoked it all.
Do you always have difficulty dealing with facts ???
Uh, yeah, they do. They've hated each other for centuries and the Sokos haven't forgotten about the atrocities committed by Japan during it's colonization of Korea, from 1910-1945. During this time, there was the Kanto Massacre, where 6,000 Koreans were murdered. The Empress Myeong-Seong was murdered by Japanese hitmen. The Japanese rounded up 100,000-200,000 Korean women to be used as sex slaves; they were known as, "comfort women". 300,000 to 1 million Koreans were used as slave labor. Unit 731 was organized by the Japanese, to perform outrageous human experiments on Koreans. It was basically an Asian version of the Holocaust. Yeah, the Koreans hate the Japanese.
The Japanese have their troops on high alert, but it's to defend Japan, not to launch an offensive measure to protect SoKo. I doubt that SoKo would allow Japanese troops to be landed on Korean soil. Diplomatically speaking, that could be the worst thing. It may cause an alliance between the North and the South, against Japan. Can you say, "jumping out of the frying pan into the fire"?
While further escalation may make war unavoidable at this point it is quite possible to calm tensions.
Politics aside...you KNOW the frost is off the punkin when even Castro starts calling Obama a snake charmer...
Relations between the two countries have improved since WW2 and we already know what Japanese Empire did to them so you don't have to repeat something that is in every history book. Both countries have normalized relationships. They are not enemies who want to destroy each other anymore. Koreans are looking at their real enemy which is the north.
Exactly, Japan put it's troops on high alert to defend against North Korea because both countries consider that regime a threat. Japan fears in some way they will get involved. There is a chance North Korea would fire missiles at Japan or get into a confrontation at sea. I never said Japan would have to land troops on the penensila to fight the war.
South Korea is still stronger then North Korea. Can we at least agree on that or continue wasting time arguing about Japan?
If I was China right now I would be negotiating the retaliation that SK can do, while telling NK what retaliation they will allow
Basically I would allow for SK to attack the positions that fired on them, destroying the artillery in the process. No more then that, and I would threaten NK not to respond to it.
From an economic and geopolitical standpoint South Korea is far more important to China then NK is. The only value NK is to China is to keep a large concentration of US forces away from its direct boarder.
Well, on the other hand, every South Korean I've met has been really friendly.
Just like the Jews and the Nazis have made amends. Eh?
Because Japan sees NorKo as a threat to Japan. They could give a **** about SoKo.
You brought it up, not me. I was only correcting your erroneous comments.
If you were China, right now, you would be sticking with your Communist brothers. What's China going to do? Abandon NorKo and allow them to be overwhlemed by the Democratic South Korea?
Some folks need a serious history lesson, prior to posting on this issue.
Except it isnt that simple. You risk pulling China in and that is war we cannot win.
