Obama's Democrats in disarray over expiring tax cuts

Had the same problem with the last preseident, and the one before him and the one before him and the one before him. This debt didn't just start under Obama.

No but it sure exploded more so than under any other President, or all of them combined.

No, not really. That's just the spin being placed on it.

Yes it does. Do you think that it is the "Government's" money? Or the Taxpayers?

j-mac

We are the government j. We elected representatives. We have a voice. No theft is involved.

:lamo either you are naive or you are expecting me to be with this crap.

Your non representing representatives don't think so, that is why you demo's lost.

Neither, I believe this "crap" to be true. As we can overthrow the government every election cycle, we are the government. No kings. No dictators. No rulers. We elect leaders to represent us and can remove them.

Your non representing representatives don't think so, that is why you demo's lost.

Well, we may have a difference of opinion as the why those who lost lost, and why those who won won, but you prove my point. The people made the choice and some "government." We are the government j. We have a voice. No theft is involved.

I thought Nancy Pelosi said that the Bush tax cuts did not include the middle class.

She said they were only for the wealthy. And now she's talking about extending the tax cuts for the middle class. Hmmm.

Republicans need to be careful here. The Dems are trying mightily to separate the cuts for the higher brackets from the rest of the cuts, so LATER they can call them specifically tax cuts for the rich, which then they kind of will be.

The Bush tax cuts need to be extended in their entirety. (In fact, they need to be cut further.)

If we are truly the government, then we can demand that the IRS be abolished, right?

j-mac

You can vote for representative who can do that, yes. Start a movement. :coffeepap

senators bayh, nelson, conrad, lieberman and webb are all on record---extend bush tax cuts to ALL americans

Democrats unlikely to repeal tax cuts for the rich | McClatchy

landrieu, lincoln, baucus and michael bennet from colorado have, as well, expressed serious reservations

conrad is chair of budget, baucus is the gatekeeper at finance

ie, you can't get anywhere without them

the point is moot, after mcconnell's handwritten letter yesterday to reid on behalf of the united 42

it is what it is

ie, get real

Fact Check.org
and PolitiFact are notoriously rotten sites to use unless you agree with the liberal line. They are unreliable.

j-mac

Yes, as they don't support your narritive. I understand. But, they actually do check facts. And do so accurately.

meanwhile, the president, typically punting away his responsibilities, looks to his much vaunted debt commission to solve his problem

just another obamite bust

At least six members indicated they will oppose the plan, leaving Simpson and Bowles two votes shy of the 14 votes President Barack Obama set as a threshold for any recommendations by the commission when he created it in February.

Now this... this is a truly factual website filled with no inaccuracies and the complete truth.

Hmmmm....never heard of it. Let's see, from the site you provided...

Progressives who support the right to a person making unfettered choices in sexual partners don't trust people to make their own choice on seat belt use. Progressives who support the right of fifteen year old girls to make decisions about abortion without parental notification do not trust these same girls later in life to make their own investment choices with their Social Security funds. And, Progressives who support the right of third worlders to strap on a backpack of TNT and explode themselves in the public market don't trust these same third worlders to make the right decision in choosing to work in the local Nike shoe plant.

Sounds about right....
