34 warships sent from US for Obama visit

What I always enjoy is when I make criticisms of both the right and the left in the same post how often it is that somebody with extreme views tries to paint me as their opposite.

Being a moderate usually just ends up a case of being shot by both sides.

yeah, the shooters don't like their opinions challenged, especially when done with FACTS instead of opinion....the trick is to stand directly between them, then duck at the right moment....

I deleted it, not comfortable it being out in the open.

But that is me J-Mac.

Wanna Skype me to prove it?

Nah, I don't get into dick measuring contests....It is funny though, and shows your immaturity. time will only tell if you decide to grow up.

Good idea, a man has to know his limitations....:2razz:

I, for one, would like to be measured.

I just don't like embarrassing those going up against me....;)

j-mac
so you have done it before....what are the rules, flacid or erect? or in your case, semi erect?:2razz:

No, maybe you don't comprehend well, my own lame attempt at humor aside, I have no homo erotic tendencies. Maybe you do, that is up to you my Log Cabin friend. But, let's get back to the topic at hand shall we?

Let's say that the Indian media got much wrong, and it would appear that they did, do you think that globe trotting at this time is prudent, whether through the appearance of expenditure, or any other risk to Obama at this time? Don't you see it as just a bit tone deaf immediately following the summer of vacations, and royal treatment while the message from the WH was "let them eat cake"? It sure did have an effect on the elections did it not?

Lol.

"Well I was wrong, so let me sidestep that and find other ways to complain about Obama... Uh... He took some vacations. And he's actually meeting with leaders of other countries! Wah, wah, wah..."

Your word choice of "globe trotting" tells everyone here all they need to know about how partisan and unreasonable you are.

Moderator's Warning:
j-mac and jetboogieman - ENOUGH! Cease with the personal back and forth or face infractions and/or a threadban.

Early on, Obama was criticized by some of the GOP for trying to do too much at once...and other times for not doing enough.
Since you and I have never held the job, maybe we shouldn't be second guessing everything he does. We have pros, and "cons", who do that more than enough, they don't need our help..

Well, this is a convenient statement after the nearly eight years of microscope pulling apart of every decision coming down the pike by a GOP President isn't it? I mean, is it only GOP Presidents that deserve criticism?

Where do you get such an idea? Right now I am upset with Obama and his stand on
"illegal immigrants". Didn't much care for the million dollar bonuses after the bailouts either.
But this thread isn't about those issues, it is about liars making up stuff about the current president. Big question you should be asking yourself, "why am I so willing to believe bad stuff about Obama?"

*Sigh*

Ok let me try a different approach. Tell me what the supposed "lies" about Obama are, and I'll address them.

Nope, you are the one supporting the view that Obama is doing wrong, so do your own research....

34 warships. Goodluck!

Is it fair to say that Obama's trip would be similar in scope, and size to that of say, Clinton during his Presidency?

j-mac

What about Nixon's visit to China?

I'm sorry, did you not read what I wrote? I'll write it really slow this time:

34 WARSHIPS.

Can you please explain how that is not a lie? Here I'll explain to you how it is a lie:

Will 34 warships accompany Obama to India? - The Rumor Doctor - Stripes

Sure enough, there are not 34 ships – and there isn’t an aircraft carrier – supporting the president’s trip, said a defense official, who declined to provide any information on security measures for presidential trips.

Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell called the notion of sending so many warships to protect the president “comical.”

“I will take the liberty this time of dismissing as absolutely absurd this notion that somehow we were deploying 10 percent of the Navy -- some 34 ships and an aircraft carrier -- in support of the president's trip to Asia,” Morrell told reporters on Thursday.

Morrell would not talk about the president’s security arrangements other than to say “nothing close” to the armada reported in the Indian press is involved.

Now you explain how it's not a lie. Thanks!

A poorly sourced story sure. An intentional lie? What's your proof that is the case?

j-mac
A poorly sourced story that you and many conservatives bit on, hook line and sinker, because even though it was a laughably absurd claim, it fit that pre-conceived narrative in your head.

Does your dishonesty know no bounds Jack?

Okay, here I'll explain to you because I know your dishonesty is so wide that it doesn't let you see the other side of the door. A poorly sourced story would be when though the details are somewhat off, the overall idea behind it is still true. "A poorly sourced story" wouldn't have facts which are not only wrong, they're entirely false. A poorly sourced story is the one about Obama's 'madrassa' school. The facts were somewhat right. Obama did attend a school with Muslims (and Christians and Buddhists), he did learn about Islamic culture (along with Buddhist and Christian culture). That's a poorly sourced story. A lie would be saying he's a Muslim. Or that he's using 10% of the ****ing Navy on a trip to India. Do you get what a lie is now Jack?

How exactly is the party of outsourcing fact checking to India going to fix the unemployment rate?
