That's why these "entertainers" are dangerous. When their lies and exaggerations are uncovered, the damage is already done. Some people--ever today!--believe that WMDs were found in Iraq by American soldiers, even though that has been dispelled years ago. So some people believe what they want to believe, and these "entertainers" are just too happy to spoon feed them.

Nobody attaches bombs to emails telling us we must forward it or die. THAT would be unwilling spreading of lies.

I get emails that tell lies every week, from idiots who should know better. When it is blatant, I do factcheck, or snopes, and link the truth in my reply email, suggesting they withdraw the lie they are spreading, by sending out a corrected email.

Those that do, don't want to be known as liars. Those that don't are the worst kind of liar, unrepentant.

Most of these liars WANT to believe the lies, so they make no effort to confirm the information. Wanting to believe lies identifies those persons as ignorant and prejudiced.

Again, if you don't know it to be true, don't repeat it...it is bearing false witness, and is a sin, for the believers. For non believers, it is at the least a violation of the golden rule.
It might even be slander...

But when a parrothead comes aboard spouting BS that he picked up on NewsMax or FOX or MSNBC and then keeps coming back, over and over again, speading the same BS, from the same place, eventually he/she takes on the reputation of being an intentional liar or just a downright dumbass. I mean, how many times does one need to pee on an electric fence before they finally get a clue?

depends on if the voltage is current limited or not....high voltage at very low current just hurts like hell. Still, that should only take one time. However, Medium voltage, like 240 to 440, and unlimited current is not a pretty sight...and from then on you pee sitting down...:shock:

we have sane people here? true story, a high school pal took electronics shop his last year, and he said he discovered in class that you can get an instant boner with the right voltage and frequency. I didn't ask him where he applied the voltage.
gotta be cheaper than Viagra, and there could be a Nobel prize for somebody..
