If they are here illegally then they have no business taking part in any part of the election process. They should be jailed for six months and then deported.

Illegal Aliens Canvass for Votes in Wash. State - FoxNews.com
SEATTLE -- When Maria Gianni is knocking on voters' doors, she's not bashful about telling people she is in the country illegally. She knows it's a risk to advertise to strangers that she's here illegally -- but one worth taking in what she sees as a crucial election.

The 42-year-old is one of dozens of volunteers -- many of them illegal immigrants -- canvassing neighborhoods in the Seattle area trying to get naturalized citizens to cast a ballot for candidates like Democratic Sen. Patty Murray, who is in a neck-to-neck race with Republican Dino Rossi.

Pramila Jayapal, head of OneAmerica Votes, says the campaign is about empowering immigrants who may not feel like they can contribute to a campaign because they can't vote.

"Immigrants really do matter," Jayapal said. "If we can't vote ourselves, we're gonna knock on doors, or get family members to vote."

So far the illegal immigrants going door-to-door aren't meeting opposition. Craig Keller, an organizer for Respect WA, a group pushing for stricter immigration law in the Washington, said he doesn't mind illegal immigrants volunteering for vote drives, he just wants to make sure mistakes on the voter rolls don't allow them to vote.

"Anybody can go out and wave a sign, but when it comes to who's making the choices, there's no question they need to be citizens," Keller said.

I agree that they have no real business being involved in the election process. If someone came to my door and said they were illegal and they are supporting canidate x or against proposition y, most likely I would ensure my vote goes to the other canidate or supports the proposition they are against.

What if they were saying everything you agree with?

They would still be illegal and deserving of immediate deportation.

Right, but I was wondering if it would still make him vote opposite out of spite or whatever.

Then I would ask why they ignored our laws by entering illegally? Tell them I don't appreciate them being here illegally and wish they would go back to wherever they came from. They should come into the US legally. Until then, go home. When they come in legally, I would welcome them.

Advise them that some might call INS on them since they admitted they were an illegal.

What if Henry Waxman didn't look like death warmed over as in the Phantom of the opera? It wouldn't make him any less of a dumb ass or dangerous?

Or what if the sky was green and grass was blue?

The only way illegals would be saying anything anyone agreed with is if the person answering the door was also a reportable illegal or a typical brainless Liberal.

There is a push underway in Arnold's Kalifornia to register illegals because it can be done by mail with no proof of anything required, and then you vote by mail and you never have to prove a thing.

Round them up and ship them back. Just the threat of that or jail should send the scampering off like it did in Arizona.

We don't reward law breakers unless you are a Liberal. Then you not only reward them you give them a free education in Jerry Browns dream the new Mexican-Kalifornia.

This country is in trouble with Obama at the helm trying to sink us as a Sovereign Nation.

This just in Obama and his new BFF

James, Tex... you guys simply don't understand. These are jobs (canvassing for Democrats during elections) regular Americans don't want to do anymore.

.

Illegal aliens should be deported, period. Personally, I am neutral to the issue but the laws we have should be followed if they are not unjust and I don't see them as being unjust.

However, given that statement, I don't see why this is a big deal.

What about those hiring them? These aren't independent operators.

It takes two to tango. It is because of those who hire illegals why people come here illegally. Those who deliberately(either they know full well the individual is an illegal or they blatantly turn a blind eye) hire illegals should be treated no different than drug dealers, mobsters and other criminals who profit from and or use their funds for illegal activities. Which is subject them to prison time, loss of business licenses and assets seizure and forfeiture laws.
