Teleprompter to make its debut in Parliament when Obama speaks

Maybe it's because his limited speaking skills are sufficient only for children...

Well thats an opinion but I was talking about how people still claim he used the teleprompters to talk to the kids when in fact we have proof he didn't.

When it goes against the regressive worldview, proof isn't evidence of anything!

I think no one wants to admit it, but I think our President has a reading impairment. He cannot make a speech with written notes like most people. He's looking more and more pitiful every day. It's sad to watch America become weaker right before our eyes.

Maybe if you stood straight up, you would see things diffently.

Depends on what you mean by progressive. If you mean it to make everyone progressively miserable and poor then being regressive is alright by me.

Once again you are wrong. While it is true that since they came along all Presidents have used teleprompters but Obama is the only one to have to have one or he can't speak in public without looking the complete dolt he has proven he is.

My God he had to have one to talk to children at an elementary School.

I can't imagine President Reagan needing one to talk with children.

Obama uses them as a crutch because he is far less intelligent than his blind worshipers have claimed, and they know it but can't openly admit it because it would reveal that they have been fooled by a fool.

It's always hard to admit mistakes, and this one is so egregious it makes it even more difficult to come clean about the mistake.

So many people fell for the massively outrageous Liberal Leftist's demonetization of President Bush they fell for the lies of the king of all teleprompters not because he was who they were told he was but because they were so brainwashed they would fall for any story that came along with empty promises from anyone, and here is a Black man who seems to fill the bill.

But alas the realization they were duped by a stuttering stammering idiot is so devastating they cannot face the reality.

Too bad for you but you made this mess and now we have to clean it up. First in Nov. and next in 2012.

He uses a teleprompter because he and his handlers are media maestros. He is an excellent speaker. One cannot take that away from him. The President's words are parsed, reparsed and parsed again -- media can't wait! It's an American tradition. He's covering all his bases. I'm not a fan, but I see absolutely nothing wrong with it.

You're proud to talk like that? Such maturity and reasonableness, glad to see the spirit of the great American debate has reached such levels.

Freedom of speech. You may not like what I say, but you should defend to the death my right to say it. Or is that just for Liberals?

Ya buddy, that response has nothing to do with what I said. To clarify for you. I think the way you are speaking is childish and immature, I never said you had no right to say it.

Luckily, we live in a country where you are free to express your dislike of my opinion.

My problem isn't with your opinion, its with how you present it. Do you understand, thats the point I've been trying to get across for several posts now.

"We don't mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back" Yes. Since we have such a mature and reasonable example to follow...

So you are arguing that the Reps should follow the Dems by their example in how they speak? That doesn't sound like "Leadership" for America to me. I mean how can you claim to be the right party for leadership if you're simply reacting instead of being pro-active.

If you truly don't like that tone of language, than change it in your own speech. Its pretty weak to say "Well I hate the way me and my opponents are talking, but I'm gonna do it anyway because my opponents are doing it and I can't live up to my own standards by myself."

Pretty sure I can present my opinion any damned way I please. You're free to put me on ignore if you like.

I'm not the one who has a problem with it. Personally, I don't mind a little contentious debate. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't bother reading things on this site. Since you do have a problem with this type of language, and the guy who is the main topic of this thread is the one who is leading us down the tubes (according to you, just now), let's have some criticism of the leadership from you....

Maybe the fact that Obama uses the teleprompter MUCH less often than Bush ever did should be embarassing to the OP. At least Obama can read the teleprompter.

Bush on the otherhand couldn't even read off of it as he mispronounced even the most rudimentary of words.

Bush couldn't even get through college without his daddy buying his c-'s for him.

Please. The idea that Palinite-Beckian-Boners suddenly find intelligence a prerequesite is laughable.

Thought I'm pretty sure he never thought there were 57 states.

I'd be interested to see the numbers, but seeing as how I've seen and heard more Obama speeches in two years than I heard of Bush in 8 years, I think you might be way, way off on this assertion.

Words like corpsman? Did Bush ever thank himself in a speech?

None of us have any idea what Obama's grades were...are you sure you want to go there?

Please. The idea that Palinite-Beckian-Boners suddenly find intelligence a prerequesite is laughable.

If I stand on a stage and tell you that I will heal the earth, stop the sea from rising and spread the wealth around, does that make me intelligent?

If you believe me when read those things from my teleprompter, does that mean you're gullible?

response post of the day!

Bull****. He didn't use a teleprompter in the debates and nor does he during Q & A with audience members. He's quite eloquent in many speaking situations where a teleprompter is not used. You're just so blinded by your partisanship you refuse to see it. It just amazes me how you people expect us to believe a Harvard Law grad Magna cum laude and head of the Law Review, and college professor is a dunce.

Bush on the other hand still flubbed when he WAS using a teleprompter. Off the teleprompter they didn't call them don't call them Bushisms for nothing.

And don't forget the deer in the headlights look where he was frozen in the elementary classroom after the twin towers were hit. Of course we now know Cheney had to take over.

And you have the audacity to call me "partisan" ^^^.. Umkay sparky.. :)

Why do you call for evidence that Bush used a teleprompter less than Obama, but demand no evidence that Obama uses a teleprompter more than anyone else?

Its the very definition of partisan hypocrisy, but I guess dealing with reality, a reality like "I have no real numbers to back up my statements," is easier when you have no standards.

Umm.. If evidence suggests that Bush used a teleprompter less than Obama, wouldn't that also prove that Obama used the teleprompter more than Bush? :)

Well, hmmm.. Is this something people track anyway? Does one need not only look for individuals that remember the past 10 years? I mean, there may NOT be actual numbers, and even if there were, people would still argue about it, but the fact remians that from my recollection, Bush never used the teleprompter as much as Obama does! He never spent like him either, or taxed, or paid out to the special interest, and lobby, and bought votes.. and you know.. All that jazz..

Just sayin...

This from a man that says, "I think no one want's to admit it." Perhaps you might want to work on your verbal skills before you attack somoene elses.

I hope you don't think President Bush was a better speaker than Obama is.

I think in regards to prepared speeches that there's no comparison between the two. I think when talking off the cuff or casually I think its relatively close and an argument could be made for either side depending on your preference for types of speaking at those points.

Again, I'll say the teleprompter is a none issue. Technology advances, and people use new technology. Using a teleprompter instead of note cards should be no more grevious then the president using email rather than snailmail.
