Secretive Republican Donors Are Planning Ahead

I don't have any use for Media Matters and over the years have pointed out where they have been wrong offering a leftwing distorted position interesting enough only against Conservatives. I will stick to actual results that I can verify not second or third hand information that only reports part of the story.

You have NOTHING!!! You don't even seem to know what the mission of Media Matters is.:2razz:

The data doesn't have to be wrong for their spin on it to be.

When they make a statement its most likely unspinning something that faux news has already spun into an unrecognizable pretzel. :2wave:

Like I said, they provide plenty of documentation when they debunk something. When I Quote from them I usually check the footnotes first.

I will take your word for it as I gave up on MM years ago and have no use for them. I prefer non partisan sites like the Congressional Record, economic sites like bea.gov and bls.gov, and of course the U.S. Constitution.

This basically says it all for me and comes directly from their website

Media Matters for America is a Web-based, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media. Not a lot of fair and balance there.

Launched in May 2004, Media Matters for America put in place, for the first time, the means to systematically monitor a cross section of print, broadcast, cable, radio, and Internet media outlets for conservative misinformation — news or commentary that is not accurate, reliable, or credible and that forwards the conservative agenda — every day, in real time.

Better oil them hot keys up, you will need them for the next two years and one week.

Only if the American people stay stupid and haven't woken up. There is no reason to support the failed Obama agenda any more as the results speak for themself

And what is wrong with that? They do an excellent job by the way. Two thumbs up for Media Matters for America.

The stupid people watch Fox News, the propaganda network.

What irks me is the faux patriots, such as yourself waving the flag, saying they support the constitution, while the country is being bought and sold on the auction block to the highest bidder.
I'll accept that as you chosing to contine with your partisan hack routine. Thank you.

There are many like that here, Obama supporters who want to divert from the actual facts which are the Obama record. If I had higher unemployment each month of this year vs last year, lower economic growth this year vs. last, and added over 3 trillion to the debt, and if every economic prediction I made was inaccurate, I would divert to something else too. You have to keep the base ignorant in order to give Obama two more years to continue his radical agenda.

Can't wait to see the tricks our wonderful union thugs use to get people to the polls. How many dead people do you believe will vote this election and of course all are Democrats. Democrats cannot play on a level playing field so wouldn't be surprised to see cattle registered as Democrat voters.

Cattle might be a better choice....or poo flinging monkeys

I see. You've chosen to go FULL Looney Tunes here.

ah, secrecy...

mendacity that matters, TODAY:

The late Bloomberg News reporter Mark Pittman asked the U.S. Treasury in January 2009 to identify $301 billion of securities owned by Citigroup Inc. that the government had agreed to guarantee. He made the request on the grounds that taxpayers ought to know how their money was being used.

More than 20 months later, after saying at least five times that a response was imminent, Treasury officials responded with 560 pages of printed-out e-mails -- none of which Pittman requested. They were so heavily redacted that most of what’s left are everyday messages such as “Did you just try to call me?” and “Monday will be a busy day!”

None of the documents answers Pittman’s request for “records sufficient to show the names of the relevant securities” or the dates and terms of the guarantees. Even so, the U.S. government considers the collection of e-mails a partial response to an official request under the federal Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA. The Justice Department in July cited an increase in such responses as evidence that “more information is being released” under the law.

The saga of Pittman’s request shows that the promise of transparency has its limits when it comes to the government’s intervention in the financial industry, which at its peak reached $12.8 trillion in commitments. From the 2008 Bear Stearns Cos. rescue to the Federal Reserve’s policy of quantitative easing in 2010, the Obama administration has delayed disclosures and defended its right to secrecy in court.

"Treasury Shields Citigroup as Deletions Undercut Disclosure:" http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-...oup-with-deletions-make-foia-meaningless.html

"an unprecedented crisis for open govt"

"when it comes to the bank bailout the obama admin made a decision to err on the side of secrecy"

"openness concerning the causes of the crisis and the govt’s response would help the economy recover"

“investors who don’t have information are investors who refuse to place funds in markets, if we want investment and economic growth to resume we want to be forthright about what happened, the longer we keep investors in the dark the longer that low economic growth will persist”

"the public has a particular interest in transparency regarding the government’s unprecedented intervention in capital markets because of its sheer size"

treasury will consider the ridiculously redacted and nonresponsive emails a "partial response"

the geithner gang can't even shoot straight

bloomberg separately sued treasury thru foia, seeking the "names of banks that took emergency loans from the central bank"

bloomberg beat treasury in the district court AND ON APPEAL

(the white house must REALLY want to keep all this stuff SECRET)

the fed has STILL not disclosed to bloomberg and must decide by tomorrow whether or not to take the secret accounts upstairs to the supreme court

secrecy...

did you read the above links about the dodd-geithner grandfathering of the aig bonuses, about the fed's instructions to aig to keep SECRETS from the sec, about the SECRET deal with phrma?

it is what it is

disappointed?

I find it hillarious that the left is claiming 'secret money', then giving all the details you could want about said 'secret' money. Must not be so secret if they have all the details about who, what, where, when, etc.

It will all come out as long as we still have a thriving news source, not owned by newscorp.

Sigh…still no answer; it looks like stinger gave you pretty good dance lessons before he went into self-imposed exile.

You mean when I moved on to forums where they actually wanted to discuss the issues.

Well look what the cat drug in.:mrgreen:Welcome back dude.:2wave:

But Obama said they'd be over on his watch. He said we'd pull out within a year.

Obama made a lot of promises regarding the economy and the war, none of them have come true. Now North Korea has attacked South Korea and our "boy" President is in Kokomo touting his economic successes, this guy is dillusional.

Obviously you don't have a clue as to what you are talking about so you have to divert back to Bush, a guy whose approval ratings are rising while Obama's are falling. Decision Points addresses that issue but those with BDS will continue to divert from the empty suit they supported to try and make Bush the issue. North Korea attacked South Korea this morning, D.C. time, Obama was notified at 4 A.M. The U.S. was attacked during the Bush visit to the school. Obviously you don't see the difference thus remain in that Obama trance.

I have a theory that if we mention your name in every thread you would become a full time poster again.

You do realize that the President is capable of multitasking, right?

Of course, if I were President I'd fly right over there and punch every Kim in the nose. I'm a hero like that.
