Fine, if you are going to troll, I will just report you

Though I would prefer you at least make an effort to respond to my points.

Then there was the Bush bailout. How much did that add? To the debt totals?

That would be factored into the 'Bush' presidency time frame and debt/deficit - not 'Obama's'

Maybe I misspoke. I think the economy was doing great.
BEA numbers show otherwise, in terms of growth.
It may not have been as bas as now, but the economy was not 'doing great' Jan 2001.

New Orleans is still largely in ruins, but overall, I don't think it was necessary beyond cleaning up any unsafe areas

What's New Orleans got to do with New York City ????

Of course, and I supported some of the stimulus that Bush did, even though I think he did it in an ineffective manner

Ahh, so Obama rebuilding the economy = good, Bush rebuilding the economy = bad

your partisan skirt is showing.

Afghanistan was, Iraq was not

I didn't say Iraq did I ?

They've kept us safe for almost ten years, seems worth it to me.
New Orleans is still largely in ruins

No it's not. Have you ever been there?? Billions were spent rebuilding dikes and levees. Would you have abandoned the city and left it vulnerable to the next storm ??

Iraq, homeland security, a lot of the silly measures that cost lots of money but do nothing for our safety (like giving awesome equipment to redneck police departments), the medicare prescription thing, no child left behind (even though that was largely unfunded), some other stuff.

That's your opinion. We'll see how you feel about police being able to talk to each other if we're ever attacked again.

And by your bigoted comment on "redneck" police departments, I take it that you believe only large cities on the coasts deserve good equipment ??

Trolling?

Using -your- standard to counter - and thus, negate - your criticisms is trolling?

Its YOUR standard. Dont blame ME if you don't like the consequesnces of adopting it.

I asked this before, and you did not answer:
How much of it was spent before Jan 21 2009?

Recession with a balanced budget? How much was the national debt when Bush took office? You were talking about and comparing the national debt, weren't you?

Did you miss this

The National Debt stood at $10.626 trillion the day Mr. Obama was inaugurated. The Bureau of Public Debt reported today that the National Debt had hit an all time high of $13.665 trillion.

The Debt increased $4.9 trillion during President Bush's two terms. The Administration has projected the National Debt will soar in Mr. Obama's fourth year in office to nearly $16.5-trillion in 2012. That's more than 100 percent of the value of the nation's economy and $5.9-trillion above what it was his first day on the job.

What's New Orleans got to do with New York City ????

Sorry, I was making a point, but it was not necessary since I didn't think you included New Orleans at first, my mistake.

Ahh, so Obama rebuilding the economy = good, Bush rebuilding the economy = bad

The how is as important as the what. See the next reply

your partisan skirt is showing.

Its based on the economics I believe to be true  Often spending is more effective than tax cuts.

I didn't say Iraq did I ?

I thought it was implied.

They've kept us safe for almost ten years, seems worth it to me.

This website repels space aliens because there haven't been any for ten years.

There are still scores of abandoned houses in many neighborhoods. Many are not rebuilt.

That's your opinion. We'll see how you feel about police being able to talk to each other if we're ever attacked again.

Larger cities can use the equipment more effectively as they are more centralized and often contain actual targets.

I have already pointed out the flaws in your thinking, you choose to ignore them and troll me instead, knowing that you are deliberately misunderstanding me. I have done the right thing here.

No, you have stated your opinion that there is a flaw in my thinking.
That statement is an opinion, which, as you argue, is purely subjective.
As such, it is no more meaningful that stating you do not like liver.

Now, if you would like to change your mind about all this and create an objective criticism as to how my thinking is flawed, go right ahead.

Your entire response reeks of hypocrisy and condescension. Those two traits are dispicable, but very common in liberals.

In what way?

Well, he is on track to double the debt just like the last guy that you didn't hold responsible.
This is supposed to mean...what?

So, it seems the paradigm of your thinking makes unable to see the flaw in your thinking, interesting. I believe this is called tunnel vision.

You dont get it - the responses are all subjective, and as such, mean nothing,
His response is no more meaningful than saying "nuh-uh!".

Moderator's Warning:
The personal attacks, the insults, the pure stupidity ends now. If you cannot discuss the issue like adults, you will be removed from this thread.

You can answer yourself......

If you don't have a specific complaint, I cannot discuss it with you further as I have nothing to address.

So, it seems the paradigm of your thinking...
I'm sorry -- what?

You cannot, objectively, show a flaw in my thinking?
Or to do so means that criticisms CAN be objective, negating your argument to the opposite?

You decide - but until you engage on the former, your criticism to that effect holds no force than arguing that you do not like liver.

Where was your outrage when Bush doubled the debt? How about some consistancy?

I sure as hell was.

and with both of them *some of hte increases and debt-climbing* is reasonable and understandable.

Where was your outrage when Bush doubled the debt? How about some consistancy?
What makes you thnk I wasn't critical of GWB's deficits?
And, even if I was not, how does that invalidate criticism of The Obama?

In summation: Obama sucks and spends way way too much money AND Bush sucked and spent way way too much money.

Both morons, both playing politics rather than leader.
