I am saying aboard ship they could not flaunt it...........If DADT goes away they will do exactly that.........No stright guy signed up for that............

That is wrong, you never do anything your told if you know its wrong..............Any person enlisting has the right to know if gays are serving openly............I know I never would have enlisted if that were the case when I joined and I know a lot of other guys that feel the same way...........

Really? So they would get away with flaunting without any reprocussions of ANY kind? It would cause them no trouble on ship? If this is right, then what's the problem?

Also, how would you recognize hetrosexuals flaunting? Could a homosexual do what a heterosexual does? Show pictures of his boyfriend? Spouse? Hold hands with someone at a bar? Dance with someone of the same sex? Or would these normal activities that heterosexuals do be flaunting? If so, why is it not flaunting for the heterosexual?

I seriously don't think your making much sense here.

Of course you don't...........Bottom line is you lost............The results of the survey on the troops that are serving will be the instrument to decide whether gays can serve openly or not and that is the way it should be...........It should not be left up to liberals like you who are clueless about shipboard life ........You can bitch and complain about it all you want but it changes nothing................

2. they obviously can't because they are getting kicked out all the time for making unwanted sexual advance against straight sailors...........

No I don't think that....The last of the issue will be when the troops survey comes back and it is heavily against allowing gays to serve openly........

Even that won't be the end of the issue. The issue won't go away until it is allowed. Society will always progress, but it does take time.

A couple things:
1) You served like 150 years ago, during the Civil War. Times have changed a bit since then.
2) Since when do you have the right to expect things to stay the same during your entire time in the military? If a soldier enlists during peace time and then we fight a war, they aren't allowed to quit just because they wouldn't have signed up had they known they'd be called upon for war.

Men who are not gay and in the military and who live in off-base housing room together. What is going to stop a gay men from living with another man off-base? Personally, I don't think I would have a problem with gays in the military but I am not going to speak for everyone. I see the practical reasons for DADT. The military is a special case in my opinion.

Do you have anything besides anecdotal evidence? And would you care to look at how many heterosexual male soldiers sexually harass females?

What is to stop them? Well if their gay relationship is found out what happens?
